Her lectures are pretty much her reading off the slides...which she posts online. READ THE PLAYS because that is exactly what you are being examined on. She's really nice and her class is quite easy but not exactly the most captivating class I've ever taken.

I always wanted to write Dr. Russell a letter to tell her what a great job she did. She makes what I thought were boring plays quite interesting. Yes, she has a quiet voice, but she is passionate and loves what she does. She is a great teacher. If you want an easy mark, take Kramer's class.

Good Prof, btu very quiet, sit in the front and have a coffee. Make sure you read the play and understand who is who. Very nice prof but only if you know what you are talking about. Attend class, even though it is long, because in the long run you'll need the added info for the take home exam she does. Good course, not life changing, but good.

Go to class, but dont expect to hear her. at all, she mumbles and speaks incredibly quiet, and is so dull. She asks you to do things she cant...like analyze, because all she does is summerize and even then she gets plot lines wrong... like who died, where and how. =S You wouldnt think it possible for a shakespeare prof. Avoid her at all costs.

This is the worst prof I have ever had. Seriously. you can barely hear what she is saying and she only summarizes the plays. When she was talking about Titus A. she did not tell us the right plot... i think she confused it with Macbeth for a scene ... or two. I would strongly recommend dropping the course if she is to be your prof.

Drink some coffee beforehand, and you're in for a treat (truly!). Bright, enthusiastic and helpful, just quiet as a mouse. Speak up in her class and not only will she love you, but you'll learn much more too.

She seems like a nice person...but her classes are brutal. She's much too quiet and monotone. She doesnt give constructive criticsm and marks pretty hard. Its hard for me to even go to her class because I know I'm in for the most boring hour and twenty minutes of my day...I dont know what else to say. Shes just not for me!

She's a very attentive and effective teacher. In my experience, those who call her boring are not really listening to what she has to say and are responding instead to her calm, quiet manner. Flamboyance doesn't necessarily make for good teaching, and a reserved nature doesn't preclude good teaching
