I don't think Professor Kurasawa understands just how good of a professor he actually is. You will learn way more in lecture than from the readings because the textbook especially is tough to comprehend on your own. You can tell that he really cares for his students. Overall, I highly recommend taking this class with him; you won't regret it!

Professor Kurasawa is not only an amazing professor, but an amazing human being as well. His lectures are crystal clear and he's quite hilarious at times. He is definitely one of the best professors that I've had during my 4yrs at York. All SOCI majors need this class to graduate. I suggest taking it with him-even if it means waiting 4yrs to do so.

Professor Kurasawa is one of my favourite professors at YU, hands down. He manages to make lectures relaxed and humorous, while at the same time ensuring throughout the class that everyone understands what he is talking about. Theory is a tough MANDATORY course, but he tries to gain the interest of everyone, and often succeeds.

AMAZING Prof! Social theory is one of the harder classes but he made it one of my favourite. He explains everything very clearly and in different ways using many examples so you can understand him. Really organized and he knows what he's talkings about. Very friendly. HIGHLY recommend him for 2040!

Best Prof I've had at York! His lectures are so clear and easy to understand. He explains everything in simple terms, gives great examples. Really cares about his students, even outside of course related stuff. He gives a ton of material, so make sure you go to lecture. Exams are not too hard. Anyone should be able to get a B in his class!

He is such an amazing prof! I'm only in my second year but he is definitely my favourte professor I've had so far. He makes every chapter interesting and really helps his students understand the material cause the texts sometimes were a bit challenging to read. I would absolutely take another class with him!

Best prof I've had in my 4 years at York. He is super clear and informative, making even the most complicated topics easy to understand. He is very intelligent and cares about educating his student properly. Amazing structure to his lectures, never boring and gives great examples. Attend lecture! HE IS THE BEST SOCI PROF AT YORK! HIS LESSONS ARE SUPER CLEAR AND HE ASKS FOR QUESTIONS JUST TO MAKE SURE YOU GET IT. HIS CLASSES ARE SUPER ENGAGING EVEN ON THE MOST BORING TOPICS. BEST prof I have had by far. He makes theory sound crystal clear. He is extremely knowledgeable and very approachable. He definitely cares about his work and his students. i cannot describe this prof. in 350wrds...he is just simple the best prof. at York. Approachable, sincere, love his students definitely not bias. I attend every lecture even when i was sick and his lecture class was always full. Avoid this class if u juz want to get an easy A for submitting mediocre work.
