It can take a while to get the grades in, but he isn't a tough grader. In order to get the grade you want all you have to do is do the work. It's easy. He doesn't try to trick, or ask unnecessary questions. Overall, he was a great professor despite what others say. Just turn everything in and you got your A. Simple as that. I would take him again.

Yes, the assignments are pretty easy but you'll be waiting a long time before you see a grade for them. The most frustrating thing is that it seems like he's putting the lesson plan together as he goes. The way he explains assignments are difficult to understand and unorganized. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't such a long class.

This professor is terrible. I would never take him again in my life. He gives so many assignments that HE NEVER EVEN GRADES so you keep turning them in and when he finally grades them you realize that the mistake he counted wrong has been happening for your other assignments that you already turned in. HATE THIS CLASS! Dont take him. You wont learn

He's a super nice guy, he just doesn't have his stuff together. He isn't very clear about due dates or grading criteria. He hasn't graded a single paper yet so when writing new ones I have no idea if I should work harder on them. Class is very boring, in my opinion, and should be called "Chicano Expressions" rather than "Latin American Expressions"

gREAT professor!!! Really bummed that he has a low rating. None of what has been said happened in our class. EVERYONE was called on, and on one or two occasions he was a bit late, but it was no biggie.READ, READ READ! and the exams will be easy. HE is a very understanding person. If you can TAKE HIM! I would definitely take him again!

very nice man.he will work w/ you.tests are online & easy his final too, just study the midterm. read and you'll do fine. he is unorganized, but give him a break if that is the worst he can be atleast its that and not something worse.very nice man. when you get into a lecture discussion it gets interesting.

Well if you aren't Spanish speaking he won't call on you, so that is the only plus! Other than that he let's the students teach the class. LATE every class! Bring your laptop, WILL be BORED! Have to read the books to pass this class, if you do, A/B. Online quizzes & midterm, group presentations, final, & participation (attendance) are your grade!

Missed the first month of class so we didn't get a syllabus until 4 weeks in. Never graded a single paper so nobody knew what grade they were getting going into the final. Always late, favors Spanish Speaking Students during the rare discussions he held. Completely terrible class, but an easy A/B if you show up and read. Insanely frustrating!!!!

I had him and he ended up teaching us maybe three times. he left for the first two months on paternal leave. his tests require you to know the readings and he is super disorganized! but he's an easy grader. he's always late he was 15 mins late to the final and let the TA watch us till the end. i liked his disscussions when he would disscuss but

I have been in school for 3 years and never have I disliked a class or professor this much! He was very unclear, unorganized, and not very helpful. It felt like he was making up things as he went along, and was so boring. i was interested in this class at first- but lost all hope the first day when he was 45 minutes late! DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I hate this class. In fact, I'm in it right now! It's six minutes past when class was supposed to start, and he is still not here. Ugh! I hate this class. If you are looking for boring, gpa lowering, waste of time courses, this is the one to take! Students do teach themselves, assignments are unclear. You could be doing more with your time. IT SUX!
