Comment:
This class was not difficult , it is just really content heavy. I discovered questions from the exams were found right in the book. I highly recommend you take indepth class notes and then go over the topics from the notes in the book, they will match up and allow you to be better prepared. Use his food for thoughts, I took 2 of his classes, both A

He cares that his students learn; that's the point. He's serious about his work, his job, his teaching, but he loves. You will learn. What's the point if you don't? I think he feels that way. If you want to slack off, he'll tell you you shouldn't be in his class. I took him for MacroEconomics, and then Economics of Developing Countries.

Professor Dowla is the man. He's so nice, albeit intimidating- you just have to swallow your fear and engage him, I promise you'll be glad you did. He begins every class with a reminder that you should question the things he says so that he has an opportunity to clarify the concepts.

Dedicated, knowledgeable professor. Unfortunately, grades on knowledge of the subject rather than analysis. Thought provoking class with few outlets to improve on the economic thought process.

Brilliant professor, comes across as tough and intimidating but he's really kind and loves to and loves to see students grow. If you're not willing to approach him when you're confused you'll probably do awful in the class. I'd take him again in a heartbeat if I was an econ person. Core 101

Extremely dedicated professor. Will do anything to make sure people understand concepts. Always ask questions in class if you are lost. People who do not do well in this class are who do not ask questions or get help. Also, keep up with your class notes daily! Don't miss a class! He also has a great sense of humor. :)

Best prof EVER. He's brilliant. He's hard. He's devoted. He will put a lot of time and energy into the class and he'll expect you to do the same. He won't give up until you're able to explain his lessons to your grandma. He's always in his office - office hours or not. He'll make econ the most fascinating subject you've ever taken.

I wish he taught all Econ classes, because I would take everything with him. He can bring any subject down to the easiest level and is concerned with how well his students do--he also goes above and beyond to make sure we understand
