I hated this class. He is full of knowledge & is very smart but he does not explain the material well. He spends the entire class going off topic & then gives you HW & handouts to study at home in the last 10 minutes of class. His tests are not based on understanding the material but memorizing it. Not a good teacher. Very unorganized & rude.

This class was tough. He talks the whole class and gives out SEVERAL handouts you have to pretty much memorize to pass the test. That said, he is a forgiving grader if he sees you're trying. Only hw is to READ. There's a 4 page paper on topic of your choice that you have to orally present as well (not as bad as it sounds).

Very condescending and rude when telling me to switch to a tougher course because I was to advanced for his class. Does not have respect for his students and often deviates from the point when giving lectures.

People, let's don't mix emotion with information. One thing professors have forgotten or choose to ignore, is that students learn in different ways, and as long as there is poor planning and lack of organization on the professor's part, guess what, you will end up confused and therefore fail the course. I would suggest summarizing of everything.

Baldor has a tendency to be harsh and can come off as mean. I am a non-native speaker who was thrust into an environment where only Spanish was spoken so I was lost for a majority of the semester. Baldor can be intimidating in that he doesn't slow down when speaking to you and his accent is heavy. No homework but must prepare a speech for the final

In my opinion Professor Baldor is very good in what he does. He is very knowledgeable and he cares about his students. Although sometimes he can be a little annoying sending lots of homework and things to study. Just be prepared for his discussions in class, study a lot for his tests and do not miss any class, he doesn't like it.

In my opinion, Baldor is simply not a good professor. That said, I recognize that there many different teaching methods, and his may not have been in line with my needs as a student. I found him to be cocky, harsh, and overall intimidating. It's been two semesters since I took his class and I still prefer not to enroll in any of his courses.

Very difficult class, Although Professor Baldor cares more about the idea of you learning rather than the actual grade you should have in the class. He is a tough cookie but eventually that way the information he wants you to know gets stuck into your head. It feels like torture and you'll be happy once it is done, but you will learn guaranteed.

Professor is extremely knowledgeable in all areas. Although he can be very intimidating, he is an excellent professor that pushes you to speak better Spanish. The grammar tests were very challenging but the final presentation outweighs all other assignments.

As long as you show some sort of progress throughout the semester, you'll do fine! You have to do a presentation at the end of the semester (public speaking) and he's very helpful! You can definitely see his passion for teaching Spanish and attendance is mandatory! When you miss one class, you miss a lot!

Took this class a couple of years ago, helped so much for the rest of the major. I remebered all the material he had taught, and wound up having to work much less than the rest of the students in later classes. Whoever wrote something negative should have stopped at G.E.D.

This class is really hard, his tests are extremely hard, but he will help you with grades. If you main language is spanish and you think because of that you are going to have an A you are wrong you have to study really hard to get at least a B-.

Professor Baldor makes you work hard for the grade. Yet, this is a university course and you get out what you put in. Just like everything else in life; work hard and you will be rewarded. If you are lazy then stay away. If you are in college, taking college courses; enjoy. Excellent professor!
