Wouldn't take a class from him again. He was rude, intimidating, and obnoxious in class. Would randomly call on students, and if he didn't like your answer he would give funny faces and tell you you were downright wrong. Gave a cheet sheat but basically graded on if he liked your answer or not, not by the book which is how I made the sheet.

The class isn't that challenging - assignments are easy & mostly graded just for decent completion. Test questions are answered during lectures, so coming to every class is VERY important. You get to use a typed, front and back "cheat sheet" on each test which is extremely helpful. He doesn't remind you about due dates & calls on people randomly

test were not tricky as long as you read. Wants all of his students to do well. Gives over 100 points for participation. MOST INFORMATIVE CLASS EVER. Dont need to want to be a real estate agent to get something out of this class. Gives lots of tips on how to be a better sales man/women in general.

He's the best professor I've had in Marketing, maybe in all off college. He loves to teach and is good at it. Lectures are fun and he gives bonus for participation. I'm a 5th year senior and made the second A of my college career (in a REAL class). Not to say the class is easy (it's challenging), but it is definitely engaging and pretty fun.

I have had him for 3 classes now, personal selling, sales management, and real estate. If you do the work, none of them are hard. Sales management is definitely more challenging, but as long as you keep up with it and do the work&reading he asks you to do before coming to class you'll be fine. He gives extra credit for giving thoughtful answers

There is a lot of work and his syllabus is very daunting, however, I would absolutely recommend his class to everyone!! I feel like I have learned more from his class about real life situations in business than I have in any other class at Auburn. Class is challenging but definitely manageable. I would take another one of his classes.

He is a very good teacher for sales management. I learned a lot in his class. There is a lot of work and it seems like there is an assignment due every day in that class, but the work is not overly challenging. It can just be a little tedious.

As a person, he's nice, funny and enthusiastic. As a professor, his tests are unreasonably challenging considering it's just an intro level course.

The course is really challenging even though I got my master's degree in England years ago. It reformats my knowledge about marketing, making it appealing, more technical and interesting. You can learn so much from the course. It's definitely the most valuable course I've taken in the MBA program. And he is a very nice folk.

Dr. Abernethy is an amazing person and teacher. He writes his own text in support of his courses, he makes his lectures clear and precise, has the ability to make class fun and interesting, writes his own exams and is always open to critique. If that doesn't say enough the AU business school chose him to be on the committee to select the new dean.

Dr. Abernethy is a great teacher who explains material well and does so with a sense of humor. Anyone who doesnt make atleast a B in this class is a complete moron, for real. The final exam is the easiest test of all. the tests are definitions and applications of definitions/readings and a few calculations(which are easy but u haveTOcomeTOclassTOknowThem

He is an arrogant, self-praising jerk. He sprinkles you with his personal opinions and will go out of his way to help you as LITTLE as possible. If you go to his office, prepare to be shunned. His teaching style is far too unstructered and his reviews are vague. You will have no idea what will be on his tests and they will be very tricky.

The tests were way too tricky and hard for how easy and common sense the material is. He's smart, but not as smart as he thinks he is. He will help you as much as you need, but you have to pry the info out of him in his office. These good reviews are bull, he was less than mediocre at best.

Will take him again for other courses. I think he's pretty funny and the tests are completely fair but you do have to work to get your grade. Read your book, know definitions, math and concepts and you'll pass.
