Comment:

Super sweet lady! She has really clear notes, explains things well, and there are a lot of examples to study from. But you HAVE TO show up to class, or else you won't do well. Her tests are pretty long and you really have to study for them. Ppl say she's unorganized and that's true, but its not that bad and she catches her mistakes easily

Comment:

Professor Norris is one of the sweetest Professors I have ever met but she does get tripped up very easily and gets confused by the homework she assigns. Overall, if you are willing to teach yourself a lot of the material outside of the classroom, then this class can be pretty simple.

People hate on Professor Norris because she can be unorganized, but she's really not bad. If she didn't call out people in class like we were in high school she'd get more respect. I learned a lot in Financial Accounting and she'll always help you. Just respect her in class, do your homework, and study the material she tells you to for the test.

She can be confusing and all over the place sometimes, but after awhile you start to understand her and the way she teaches. She barely gives extra credit but she does offer a lot of tutoring hours and emails back very quickly. I probably wouldn't mind taking her again, I just wish I took her more seriously in the beginning.

Very nice and kind professor! Teached me intermediate accounting and her classes were interesting. Very helpful, expects you to have written your homework, you will high results if you study well!

sometimes she gets a little confused and it can be a little frustrating. shes been in the field for years and knows what shes talking about. she will do anything to help you succeed and pass. shes very helpful if you reach out to her. sweetest lady. made the classes easier. always helped me when i asked. only reason i passed ever was because of her

Her one downfall, to me, is that she expects her students to memorize every single thing for tests without some form of cheat sheet with a lot of material covered. I do terrible on exams because of that. Good professor, a bit all over the place, will make you earn it but wants you to do well. I just greatly disliked going to her class.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Very patient and caring she is there for you 100%. Sometimes she doesn't know the answer and it can be frustrating but she makes mistakes like the rest of us. Assigns a decent amount of hw and is graded on effort not correctness. She cares about her students and will do anything for them to succeed.

Professor Norris is very polite and helpful. However, I feel like she needs to be because she isn't very clear. Her class seems to be set up in a way that the day consists of going over homework, learning little meterial, then assigned more homework. Overall, tests are easy, and she's a really sweet person. So regardless, I would recommend her

If you go by some of the comments on this site you probably will not take this professor's class. Mistake! She is one of the nicest and most helpful professors at JWU. If you do your homework, read your text and attend class you will be fine. She wants all her students to succeed but you have to put the work into it. She is also very accessible

I often find the students that give Prof. Norris poor reviews are the "self-entitled" & lazy generation. Professor Norris is an tough professor, but nothing she teaches is over anyone's head if they can manage to stay off Facebook, listen and participate in class. I give Prof. Norris two thumbs up. She is the reason I chose to pursue my MAcc.

Comment:

Professor Norris is an extremely difficult teacher to understand. She goes at an extremely fast pace and usually is rude to students when they ask questions. If you cannot teach yourself everything for a class, I would not recommend taking this Professor because you absolutely have to teach yourself everything.
