If you are not great at math, DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS. He is not great at going into detail, so if you aren't a natural math whiz you're going to really struggle. You will definitely need the textbook and your computer for every class, and he only has 3 tests the whole year that you're graded on, so you need to take each one like its life or death

Comment:

Took 3 classes this semester with him. PRV, Stat2, and Deterministic. He really cared and avoided giving tests when other teachers did. As long as you did the HW before the test you were likely to get a 90+. Gonna get B, A and B+. Tests are long, but fair. Best test is worth most, worst is worth least. Funny too, will engage u with corny dad jokes.

Comment:

One of the worst professors ever. He just keeps writing on the board and keeps talking. Most of the class is clueless to what he's saying. No syllabus and the homework is annoyingly confusing. He uses the JMP software during the class but on the test we don't even use the computer/software. Go for extra help, it won't help at all. Don't take him!!

I have never had a worse professor than Dr. Lacke. He gets side tracked EXTREMELY easy. Lectures are painfully boring. Exams make up 90% of your grade, none of them get curved. Attendance is mandatory, not that being in class really helps you at all. I learned more from the book than I did from him.

I had lacke for prob./random variables. Usually I do well in math courses but this class was incredibly hard. He gives a decent amount of homework but thats manageable. The issue are his tests. 3 tests (including the final) make up 60% of your final grade and they are extremely difficult. Even with a formula sheet they are long and difficult

Professor Lacke is a very good teacher in my opinion, he makes the lectures interesting through jokes and references. 3 tests 3 quizzes makes most of the grade percentage and a quarter is take home. He cares about his students, he will find out what you want to do with math and will make parts of the lecture relevant to you

Dr. Lacke is the best professor I've had at Rowan, I had him for Stochastic and Deterministic and I always feel like I'm learning something useful. I really enjoy the topics and it's very obvious he does too. The material is difficult but Dr. Lacke is so helpful in office hours and wants you to succeed. Definitely recommend him if you like math

One of the worst professors I ever had. He does not use blackboard instead he sends all the assignments through email, which is annoying to keep track. His lectures are confusing and dry and he does not explain the material for most people to understand. The homework he gives is alot which is due on the day of the exam, and the answer key is useles

I had him for Biometry. Honestly, not a bad guy and he means well, but he tells too many jokes to the point where he doesn't cover all of the lecture material. As long as you make sure to pay attention in class and take notes on the necessary problems, you'll do very well on the exams especially with your own page of notes.

He's an okay teacher, it's just a very difficult class. Tests are very difficult he expects every possible detail and will still find ways to take off points. Showed up to class late everyday, very disorganized. Wasn't a huge fan of him but if you want to actually learn stat 2 which I doubt because its useless, he's not bad.

EXCELLENT teacher. Hilarious/understanding/helpful. He really cares about whether or not students understand. 4 tests with very fair questions. Homework every night that's due the day of the test. 1 sheet of printer paper allowed during test. You can write whatever you need on it front and back. Best professor I've ever had.
