If she has a spot open in her class, TAKE IT! One of the most understanding teachers I've ever taken. Very light homework, a discussion post or a homework assignment every other week along with lectures. Test are a little tougher, but very straightforward. Make sure you get the book, all of the questions for assignments and tests are from the text.

The class was fairly well organized. She was always super fast on the responses. The test questions did appear like they came out of another book. However, she was pretty fair about it, if enough people missed a question she would give credit back.

I took this online and loved it! Turpin is quick with answering e-mails and lays out everything in the syllabus. You do about 5 writing assignments (less than 1 page)and take about 4 tests. The dates for assignments changed but I can't complain because we got more time. Dates for tests were consistent with the syllabus dates. Great online class!

I took this class online and it was the WORST CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN. I swear to God she pulled exam questions from a different book. The entire class was a complete waste of time. I'm a psychology major so this class should've been ok, but I hated this class, specifically because of this teacher, that it was 100% not worth my time.

I took this class online and it was horrible. She was so unorganized and it made things really confusing. She gave us a schedule in the first week and then didn't follow it at all. Don't take this online class. Take a real one with someone else.

Dr. T was not the most dynamic prof ever, but she does care. I did not go to class except for exams and I got an A by using the online quizzing site and her study guide. She's ALWAYS there if you have questions or concerns. A very kind person.

The only days you have to show up for this class is when you have a test. class consists of her talking about what is on the powerpoint. i would recommend reading the chapters though. Dont be late to the exam. she will not let you make it up.

Dry and Rarely smiles, extremely hard for me to get motivated to go to class Lecture material will rarely help you out on the test so read the book and do the practice questions. I do like how she applies real life sometimes her own experiences, she allows for some extra credit. Be early on test days its the ONLY time it will be hard to find a seat

Dr. Turpin is a wonderful person, but I couldn't follow the monotone. The class struggled to pay attention. Tests are very straight-forward and if you use the website and her review sheets to study you'll do great. You have to UNDERSTAND the material, not just memorize it. I'd definitely take her class again.

If you read, do the practice tests and go to class, the class is an easy A. All the material is hit several times. The hardest part is staying awake in class.

She was a pretty good teacher and it was useful to read the modules and go over the practice questions before each test. Yes she can me monotone sometimes, but she also uses really good examples- sometimes of her own personal life(which was strange when we were going over depression). You could probably skip class and just read the book and do well

Actually liked her. Have to read the module book because it makes it a little clearer after she lectures on it. Before the test take the practice questions on the website the book offers.

She is very boring as everyone has said. She also gets annoyed very easily. Someone tries to leave class discreetly and she snaps at them, disrupting class in the process. She knows her stuff, but I'd take someone else if possible.

Turpins' class was very easy. If you read the chapter reviews at the end of the book and can answer the questions you'll do fine. I rarely went to class, usually just for tests and ended up with a B. She is pretty funny and uses good examples.

This is a much harder class than expected. You must continually keep up reading on the book as well as studying the notes. There is not extra credit and all points are from the 4 tests so you must do well and they are hard! even if you study.

I love Prof. Turpin. I have not picked up the textbook since I bought it and I am easily maintaining a high C. If I put ANY sort of effort into the class, I could have a much better grade. She's funny and uses GREAT examples. Powerpoints are very detailed as well, meaning class is not always mandatory.

Very knowledgeable. Her class is sometimes a bit dry, but she uses many helpful examples. The class is all lecture so you must attend class and read the textbook.

The power points/notes she gives you do not help for the tests; you have to read the book. She is a sweet lady and means well, but is very monotone; it was difficult for me to get motivated to go to class.

Class is the same everytime. She goes over power points and thats it and they really don't apply to the test. You're much better off just reading the book. Tests are HARD! Take someone, ANYONE else if possible.

She's pretty boring and dry, but she is very clear and easy to understand. Tests are a bit hard but there are excredit opportunities and she curves all of the tests.
