I found the course and his instruction to be very disappointing. The class was very scattered, and he seemed totally disinterested most of the time. He took forever to return emails, and the responses he gave were often pretty rude, and rarely answered the question asked. A nice enough man to talk to, - but I wouldn't recommend taking his class.

Professor Walker came highly recommended, and rightly so. 425 completely changed my perspective on my own place in the world as well as the country I live in. I've taken multiple courses with this prof, and assert without a shred of doubt that his courses have had BY FAR the greatest impact on my education at Queen's. Not to be missed.

Highly recommended prof! He really knows his material and knows how to make it relatable to students and current culture, with a great sense of humour. Not a fan of the course format, having the entire grade based only on in-class tests sucks for people with text anxiety who would rather write a research paper. Not too hard if you study though.

he is awesome! really easy to talk to makes it less intimidating to speak out int he seminar. SHows a genuine interest in studetns. INsteas of two seminars he does one lecture and then a seminar to give studetns some background informations which is relaly helpful!
