Enjoyed the class as much a Soci major could. Took this class a few years ago, and one of the questions on our exam was who he thought the Mole was on the reality show, "The Mole." Was also obsessed with Survivor: Australian Outback. Spent more time talking about reality tv than Comp Sci, which I didn't mind at all!

Maybe it's because he taught for a day but I thought he was pretty good. Knowledgable. Tries his best to keep a dry subject interesting. Goes off on wild tangents and rants to stall for time. It was either that or spend the rest of the day going over some obscure UNIX commands that 99% of us would never see again though.

kinda a ****bag, nice guy though. Tests are all about memorizing definitions, nothing else, just memorize word for word what you were told from the notes. Always thinks he's funny, yet never is.

I dunno, I like this class. Compared to what I've seen from the other CPSC 203 classes, this one seems to be the most challenging (read: interesting.) I'm actually learning things with the assignments, and his tangents keep things interesting.

Took CPSC 203 from Ben in Summer 2002. Frequently goes off topic during the lectures. Admits that he doesn't prepare for class, he just stands up there and scribbles on the overhead. Thinks he is funny, but he really isn't. However, he did have a great tangent the day he came to class wearing a Marc Overmars Oranje jersey. 20 minutes of him standing at the front of the room where he pretty much said that Ireland sucks and how pleased he was that the Irish looked like fools in their shootout with Spain (obviously he's forgotten about Euro 2000) made for some good entertainment. Anyways, he's not bad, and the course material is very, VERY EASY.
