Does like to write on the board. Randomly skips sections. Of course then the next sections make no sense. There is no going back over stuff. You get the sense he hates teaches and dreads going back into the classroom even for a minute. Better professors for a required course. Stay away from him at all costs !

Best of breed here. It does not get more straightforward than his class. Homework is challenging but is reviewed the next class in depth with no NEW material being covered until EVERY student question is answered. That is, if you don't get it and want to, you will - just ask! You will learn QM, you will do well, you will take him again...

Great teacher. His tests are 3 questions each with different parts but if you read carefully you should be fine. He is a nice guy. He does his best explaining the work but it is easy to figure it out on your own when you do the work. Doesn't check hw, attendance not mandatory, such a nice old guy. Would def take again

Bernard Dickman knows the material well. His presentation is fair, though occasionally unclear. He doesn't like too many questions, but he will answer some. You will need the textbook. The class had 3 exams and 1 individual project. The exams were not too bad, but each question was worth a lot.

Very difficult class. Attendance is a must in order to understand everything. Dr. Dickman only respects knowledge and makes anyone feel awful if you ask him a question. His test are about 3 questions so you better know your stuff. Gives the absolute hardest questions for the exams. He ends class about 50 mins early which is absurd. Please avoid.

You might get the feeling he hates his job or the students. He comes across as cold. He absolutely knows his stuff. Ask him a question and he will definitely answer it but not before he makes a sarcastic comment.

Professor literally explains everything. Don't have to do the hw if you pay attention in class. Doesn't check attendance but you should go to class. He teaches you exactly what he will be expecting on the test. Really not that hard of a class. Definitely recommend this professor.

I heard from many ppl abt how difficult QM is. But in all honesty, I think Professor Dickman did an amazing job teaching this course. I am not a math person but I listened to others' advice trying to understand his lectures and materials. Prof Dickman deserves a thumbup - He made complicated concepts easy to understand. I truly enjoyed his class!

2 midterms+1 final, i individual project. Find the previous exams` questions, they will be helpful. He is not really helpful to explain the project. The class is so boring. Since you do not learn anything in the class, you may have hard time to do analysis for your project.

Overall, would recommend this professor. I don't think anyone can teach this course in a more simplistic way However, if you are someone that needs help before/after class this is not the professor for you. Also, you need to put the work in for his class. He will fail you. Do well on at least the project and two of the tests and you should be fine.

I thought Prof. Dickman was great! He moves quickly through the material but if you paying attention and ask him to clarify if you don't understand, you will do well in this course!! I have not taken a stats class before this one and I did really well. Pay close attention when taking notes because he will hint at what is on the exam.

A math/stat course.Nothing to do w/ business.If you have taken AP stat in high school this class should be a breeze.Taught very slowly.In the whole semester I took a 1 page of notes..basically put all page numbers of the textbook cuz his tests are open book he tries to help every1 in class.Did not find him funny.Grade based on 4 tests and a final
