Very nice overall, very interesting topics, also very knowledgeable. She loves having discussion during class. Her lectures are easy to follow. However, she does zip through her slides and try to fit in too much content into her lectures. Don't send her emails!

Professor Robinson is very nice, but she reads off her slides, which can be frustrating as clarification could have been an asset. Didn't do well in her class, because of my T.A who was arrogant and condescending.

Although she seemed nice at the beginning, she doesn't elaborate much on the slides and is not always understanding of certain circumstances. Seemed very unaware of how tutorials were often not in line with the lecture topics. The class in itself was often boring and not incredibly educational.

The prof was not very accessible outside class at all, and often was selective in assisting with concerns, taking extended periods of time. Was not very helpful when it came to communication and being on the same page as the TAs.

Provides a mix of both understandable and abstract readings of global ethics. However, She does read off her slides which might irritate people. She is more than helpful to clarify and answer any questions in regards to course material. It's unfortunate that many students leave halfway through the lecture.

fair grader, although expects a lot of in depth analysis. too many readings. very lenient when it comes to late penalties, just explain your situation and she'll understand. knows her material.

Well respected in her field, Prof. Robinson is truly engaged in the material. You can tell she knows her stuff. Lots of readings, but that's the kind of course it is. Also, she doesn't assign a textbook, explicitly to save students money, all readings are posted online. Quick feedback, open to questions in lecture, really great prof.

She give so many readings that are really hard to read and soon boring, she reads of slides there is no need to go to the lecture. However the good side is that is she nice and caring.

She's a good prof & she does care about her students, she's pretty bad at answering emails so go to her office hours if you have questions for her. However, she reads off her slides which is frustrating for students because they feel that they can do that themselves so it makes many students not show up.

Robinson is so sweet, clear and goes into detail. Reads off slides which can also be found online. Textbook is used weekly and needed for assignments. Not the most interesting class but was enjoyable.

This was an incredibly tough but interesting class. The readings were at times a bit too wordy to understand, which rendered discussions on them difficult. That being said, she is a lovely human being. She is insanely intelligent and really does want her students to do well. Go to office hours though, not email cause doesn't always reply to email

I have taken many international relations courses at Carleton before but this one was painful. She relies heavily on the book, if you ask her to clarify something she is unable to do so. She wasn't much help with the term paper either. Only take a class with her if you are able to do everything on your own and dont need the prof to explain anything

Fiona is a fantastic prof. Reasonable marker, very helpful outside of class, and a clear lecturer. Plus she's crazy smart. If you are interested in IR, you should enjoy any of her classes.

I don't see how people could have bad things to say about Fiona. She's certainly not a motivational speaker, but she's clear, easy to understand, kind and straightforward.

Robinson is an engaging speaker. I like her choice of readings in the course - these are current issues that relate well to feminist studies. No exams, written work is marked fairly. Be prepared to participate in discussions, go over paper topic and presentation with Robinson and you'll do just fine.

I hate the subject matter that she teaches, so I find her lectures extremely dull... but she's very nice, and quite helpful if you go see her after class. Her expectations are more than fair, and readings aren't really mandatory.

Has no idea what she is talking about. Reads directly from the textbook, and gets confused if someone asks a question about a topic that is not in the textbook. Easy exam, same stuff that is covered in psci 1000.
