She was reasonable at the begnning but changed late on to be very unreasonable by giving many uncovered problems in test to dramatically lower your grade from A to D in the test. Your overall final grade would be lower too.

She may not be the greatest teacher but you have every opportunity to do well. If you feel that you wont be able to understand her, then sit closer to the front. Pretty much everything she teaches will be enough to help you on the homework. The online homework may be a pain but she practically uses the exact same questions on the test

Extremely hard to understand. Extremely. You wont understand anything unless youre laser focused. The course itself isnt hard at all. Betty just cant explain anything. Go for another professor. This class would've been a nightmare if it wasn't for the MLC and YouTube. I tried to pay attention but just could not get past her accent and fast pace

She is the most adorable woman. Honestly, I could've gotten an A if I tried harder because she is a fair professor. I took pre-calc as a Senior and it was enough to do well in her class. Prof Gold is harder than her so I recommend Liu. You still have to work aka do ALL the HW (no joke bc tests/quizzes are like it). Put effort in & youll be fine.

If you do not have a background in Calc then good luck to you. She assigns problems that the math tutoring center could not help me with or other professors. He approach is very confusing and I had to hassle friends in order to pass. Final is made up of previous test and tests are made up of mostly things that was gone over in class. beware.

She is a sweet lady, always announces when she is collecting the homework and grading it, and the quizzes are questions from the homework. Her lectures are confusing unless you have prior knowledge of the subject. I found myself seeking extra help before every quiz and test.

Her accent can be confusing but her notes are easy to follow. Homework can be tough but she offers so much help. Calculus was not an easy class but Betty will help you all the way. Her tests come DIRECTLY from home work and quizzes. I would not mind having her again.

She is the sweetest lady! she has an accent but she goes very in depth with what she teaches and she will stop and keep working on a problem until you understand it. She has office hours and encourages you to go! Quizzes are just like the homework problems and there are practice tests before the actual exams. She drops the lowest quiz.

A very good professor overall. She really tried to help the students by explaining every concept very clearly. She works out hard examples in class. Some of the homework problems are tough, but if you get the homework problems, then you should do well on the exams.

Dr. Liu is the sweetest lady, but if you can get a different teacher, do it. She is hard to understand and doesn't answer your questions unless going to her office hours. The only way I could pass the class was by getting a tutor and going to the math center every week.

Change professors if you can! I am not bad at math, but she is completely incomprehensible. Professor Liu does not help you when you ask her questions. She is unclear and moves too fast. She goes through many sections per class. Cannot miss one class or you'll be behind! Class avg. on exams are around 60. Does not help students! Being honest!

i am a math major and she made it almost impossible for the class to follow along. she cant speak english at all and always says and writes things wrong that makes it very confusing. yes shes sweet but a terrible teacher. never answered questions and never explains everything. cant follow along cuz she writes so fast and doesnt stop. dont take her.

worst teacher ever. I was always really good at math, but she made it impossible to keep up. And, if you ask a question 9 times out of 10 she wont answer it. or help you at all. not to be mean, but her accent also makes it very hard to follow. all around, not a good teacher and i definitely wouldn't recommend!!!!!

Her very heavy accent makes it almost impossible to follow along with her most of the time. She moves very quickly and does not stop to help thoroughly if students are lost. I have been great at math my whole life but couldn't get any where in her class.

People should not say negative things about this professor 'cause she is super awesome....she is very easy to appraoch and is very thorough!!!!!
