Sad he retired because he was a fantastic prof. He lectured in a fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants kinda way but always brought up interesting historical asides. Definitely going to miss out now that he's retired from UFV.

An okay teacher. I tried getting him to clarify an assignment but it was very hard to get out of him on what he wanted. Fair marker. Very boring classes. He is very hard to listen to as he skips subjects fast -- and he thinks you know every subject (including non-text related subjects).

This was a great seminar. Bob has high expectatios for 4th year students - which is great. Obviously not eveyone agrees with me - But must one resort to slander?? Give your head a shake. Bob knows his stuff.

Bob is a very smart man, he knows his stuff with great detail. I didn't like his teaching style at first but it has grown on me. I hope to take more classes with him in the future.

Bob is a great professor. I am sad I will be unable to take another class with him before I graduate. His teaching styles in each class were so different, it was hard to believe he was the same person, but each fit its subject well. He expects quite a lot, but is willing to reward hard work! :)

Bob Smith,worst teacher ever. Can not believe we pay this kind of money to get such low quality teaching. Loves to ramble, makes no sense, can't answer student questions etc. He also can be disrespectful to his students.

Bob definately knows his stuff, but does not have a clear guide for the class other than when assignments are due. The 1 week late period for one assignment is helpful. Lectures contain great videos to accompany, but he often rambles and you aren't sure what remember and what you can leave out.

Bob truly has a passion for the subjects he teaches. There is a lot of book reviews and movies discussed in class. Very interesting information in both clases i have taken with him. He is really a great prof.
