Took this class my freshman year, absolutely could not stand this professor, she interrupted us during presentations in front of our whole class, one of the students in my class even contacted the dean of the english department to complain.

She's awesome. Loves education and kids. Can be rough if you don't have a sense of humor or thick skin. I loved her. My favorite professor in the English department.

Dr. Duncan is awesome. She has such an interesting take on life and education. She is realistic with what she asks of you and if you do the work, then you'll get an A. There's a ton of reading, but you know, college.

Assigns a lot of online assignments and quizzes. She isn't very clear with instructions and doesn't answer questions when asked. Tends to get off topic a lot

Her assignments were very unclear, even when she was asked to clarify. She can also be easily upset and sometimes rude. She rarely lectures what she tests. Although, most assignments are an easy A, and you can take online quizzes as often as you want. The midterms and finals are also very similar to the study guides she provides.

Duncan is really nice and has always helped when necessary. The class is easy to pass if you show up and do the work. Her quizzes and tests are easy I disliked going to class because I felt like she didn't teach valuable information all the time. She gives extra credit for coming to class somestimes as well

I personally love Dr. Duncan, although I can understand why a lot of people don't like her. She spends a lot of class time telling personal stories that very loosely relate to the material at hand. She's a sweetheart, but she doesn't necessarily teach well enough to prepare for tests.

I would not take her again. She is very vague with directions. Half the class failed the first paper we had to do on dictionary research due to unclear instructions. She did allow a re-due. Quizzes are all online and you can take it till you pass it.

I missed a class because I was sick and went to her office and she gave me the whole entire lecture one on one. If you're struggling at all she is totally ready to help you get it. The class is tough but she's there to help you through it.

This is actually the second class I've taken with her, I also took linguistic analysis (221) which was by far harder due to the analytic nature of the course. Perhaps if you do not have a large interest in the subject and would like an Easy A you should take a different teacher but Duncan is knowledgeable and passionate about her subject.

Duncan would be an ok professor if she wasn't so rude to students. whenever I was unclear on instructions and ask for clarification she would basically insult me instead. it would take multiple emails before I get the clarity I needed, if I would get it at all. I for one would never take one of her classes again by choice.

Professor Duncan gets a bad rep for being loud, having no filter, and taking no prisoners. However, in my experience with her, if you're having trouble AT ALL, she will give you help if you go to her. I had a few unexpected medical issues this semester, so I talked to her about them and she completely understood. Please give her a chance!

She's crazy. She'll count all the homework, and it's always 1010 or 010, no in between, so complete all the homework. She'll give "quizzes" (they aren't hard) but just for the people who are there when people don't come. Which means if you're there, that's an easy 1010, if you're not, too bad so sad she won't let you redo it.

I would take her again. The only issue I had with her was her lack of a filter (she tends to swear a lot, which can be funny at times and annoying at others). It's not as if she tries to make the tests and assignments hard it's just that the course itself is hard. She is amazing at helping you if you need it, you just have to be brave and go ask.

Bonnie Duncan was a great Professor. It depends on how your mindset is going to class. She is loud and is very passionate. She is very lenient with grades and is awesome to talk to. I do recommend this professor she did a great job with my class. You just have to be prepared for an outgoing lady who has no filter and doesn't care!

Dr. Duncan is the most unclear and rude professor I have had. I will never take one of her classes again and I would recommend that you don't either. She isn't clear in her directions and you often spend most of your time trying to figure out what the hell she is trying to say. She also counts 'optional' readings as required. TERRIBLE TEACHER.

She can magically turn an optional reading into a required reading while she grades. Most definitely has to feel like she has a superiority over her students. Is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to her course load, especially for only a 200 level class. Will never take again.

Take her class online if possible! Her instructions weren't very clear, but email was very helpful. Lots of reading, but if you follow the guidelines of each assignment you do really well.
