Probably one of the worst professors I have had to deal with. If you struggle with writing papers and are not willing to do the research I would not take her. I poured my heart into her class and yet up until the very last day of class she still couldnt get my name correct-FYI I have an extremely easy name. HATE HER!

A very difficult professor to please with writing. The average grade for the final paper (30% of overall grade) was a 65. If you are a weak writer this is going to be difficult. Lectures were amazing and she was very knowledgeable. As a lover of art history, I really enjoyed the class. If you could care less about the discipline, pass on this one.

Worst mistake of my life. She is extremely rude and will call you out in class. Attendance is not mandatory but, if you don't go to class, good luck. Lectures every class. Quite hard to get the grade you want due to there only being three tests and the final. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this class.

This teacher can be a rough grader if you don't know how to write an Art History paper. Advice? Start early and ask for help from the writing center if you need it. She knows the history and the culture surrounding her subject, so the class takes on an almost anthropological tone at time, but it keeps the dialogue fresh in class. Take notes.

I took Survey 1 with professor Noble and really enjoyed the class. Her lectures were very interesting and you can tell she loves Art History. Attendance was not mandatory however if you want an A you should show up. If you go to class, pay attention, and take notes, there is no reason you should not get an A.

A bit intimidating but she has the best intentions. Dr. Noble is SO knowledgeable in her field. I learned a lot in her survey 1 class. She does not take attandance but I recommend going to her lectures and taking notes, everything on her tests is straight from the lectures. I really enjoyed her class.

She goes off on a lot of random tangents usually about the patriarchy or her travels. She doesn't stick to the syllabus at all and her study guides are essentially useless. She's a tough grader and if you don't show up to class you're pretty much screwed. . Randomly won't show up for class. Wouldn't take her class ever again.

Really good teacher occasionally goes off on random tangents but that seems to keep people more aware in class the quizzes are really straight forward and easy but theyre always based off of things she says in class so attendance is mandatory even though she doesnt take attendance

Honestly Dr Noble is a great teacher you just have to work for your grade. Hard work pays off people! She'll also help you with your papers and give you feedback. If your lazy or write crappy first drafts you'll most likely not pass. Her quizzes are simple

Dr. Noble is one of my favorite professors at UNCC who loves her work and is very knowledgeable about every aspect. As long as you give your undivided attention, respect (as you should be giving everyone), take the class seriously and actually take the time to look over notes to understand instead of memorize the material, you will do just fine.

I have had Dr. Noble for two art history classes now, and I have loved every minute of both of them. She is very passionate about her work, which always makes class more enjoyable. She talks about art lovingly, and eloquently. Through taking her classes I have not only gained a deeper understanding of art, but also society and the world in general.

I absolutely adore Dr. Noble! She's such a quirky, sweet woman. She's a tough grader and assigns difficult papers, but if you email her she'll look through your paper before hand and offer suggestions. I really enjoyed her class. Also, don't bother buying the textbooks. I literally never used them.

Dr. Noble is a very good, very consistent professor. I have taken her classes since my freshman year and I always learn a lot. Some people aren't too fond of her, but in my opinion that is because they expect all of their professors will be "breeze-throughs" and they don't like that she isn't. She's always cracking jokes and I love her teachings.

Dr. Bonnie Noble is an exceptional professor. She grades based on knowledge and intellect put into your work and while many find this difficult, this class alone will prepare you for any form of college course and masters degree. On of my favorite classesprofessors. Very nice, distant in a good way. Funny and short but very passionate of her field

Dr. Noble is really an amazing professor and just an awesome human being. She is passionate about the subject and lectures are really interesting. The ways I thought were definitely challenged and that's what college is right? She is a tough grader and you might not do as well on the first test as you'd like but she will work with you.

WORTH IT. Learned a lot! Hard papers, but helpful in tweaking it and forthcoming with ways to improve. Info conveyed clearly followed by open discussions with plenty of room for questions and elaboration. Had an issue with lack of contextualization, told her so, and by the next lecture she adjusted the material to expand on the historical context!

No nonsense, but friendly and funny not for people looking for an easy A but she really knows her stuff and is very passionate. You have to do the readings before class tho.
