Professor Groen is very funny and easy to understand. In this class we had 3 midterms, a final, a book review/paper, a business research paper, and some class participation marks. His slideshows contain all the material you need to know and he posts them on moodle. In class he goes through the slideshows and provides examples and explanations.

Overall I would definitely recommend taking this course if you are considering business. Brent is a very humorous guy and manages to teach this intro to business class without making it too boring. There will be some case studies during random classes so you will miss out on some marks if you skip class often. Exams are almost all multiple choice.

Hilarious prof. Really manages to teach probably the most basic and boring business class with some good humour and clear expectations and exams. Lectures can really draw out from time to time though.

Brent, as he would like us to call him, is an amazing professor. I am neither a Business major or minor but I highly recommend taking one of his classes. Brent connects with his students and makes his lectures easy to understand. I suggest going to class everyday and really paying attention to the slides. Then the exam will be so easy to study for.

Accounting 1 was hard for me, and accounting in general, but he is the funniest teacher in Business! I love that guy! Ask, and your doubts will be answered. Shouldn't go through TWU without trying this teacher. You'll need to take notes and use the textbook to understand accounting, it's not easy.

He's fun, provides good advice, can ask him and he'll respond quickly. Loves it when people think out of the box for group projects, and he likes talking to you about options in terms of direction of projects. Really fostered learning while being supportive.

I'm not a huge fan. If I didn't read the textbook thoroughly I would have been lost, as many in the class were who didn't bother reading it. Groen is funny but his teaching style is uncreative, which is difficult at 8 in the morning.

Honestly a great teacher. It's clear that he's interested in what he teaches. Be sure to pay attention when he's speaking since his powerpoint slides sometimes don't make sense if your not following what he's saying. He makes the class entertaining. I was upset when i heard he wasn't teaching ACCT 1210.

Makes a rather dull subject pretty interesting. He flies through the pp slides which can be frustrating, but ask him to go slower and he usually will. The textbook is helpful if you don"t get something in class as it is super easy to read, and the homework helps too. Not a hard class to do well in.
