I've taken all three undergraduate courses Dr. Petersen teaches, and there isn't anything I can say that's already been said. He's by far one of the best, if not the best professor in the ECE faculty. And he's very personable and caring, as well. He'll take the time to help with just about anything.

The best professor I've ever had in ECE. You can't misinterpret what he says because he speaks with such clarity and lays all important aspects of course out in a clear-cut fashion. As the course progressed, he was less knowledgeable about the material. Sometimes he took a bit too long to provide feedback. Still, a superlative professor!

Excellent teacher. Very formal. A little too formal sometimes, but it just shows that he takes UNB and EE program very seriously, as should you! Good sense of humour and will go that extra mile to help you, even if it means extrapolating your lab answer on the floor tiles in front of his office. Overall a great prof.!

Dr. Petersen is a good professor. An extremely clear speaker, who clearly knows the material. He is a very humble and kind person. If you have any problems at all, the door of his office is almost always open. This is a professor that earns their salary.

Almost no work all term, aside from the labs. No quizzes, midterms, projects, and only a couple of very irrelevant assignments. Not looking forward to the final, because I have no idea what will be asked, and have absolutely no practice. Will avoid in the future.

Aside from his quirks, he is most likely the most knowledge prof in EE/CMPE, if you ask him a question that he doesnt know he will dig it up. A good engineer. He isnt out to fail anyone and is willing to help anyone succeed in the program this teacher needs to be the role model for other profs in our faculty. Fully recommended A+

Follows protocol, almost to a fault... which can get hilarious at times! (Sorry!) Know what he wants, and you'll have no issue. Final was the most work done all year, cumulative, if only because almost no work was done all year... Take good notes, and be able to recreate them on demand, and you'll be fine.
