Comment:
Bret is definitely my favorite chem professor so far: he's given us partial credit on multiple-choice questions, and if you're struggling on a test he's willing to give you a hint or let you talk it through with him. Grading was a little hard since it's basically three tests and OWLs, but he's always willing to scale overall grades. Loves chem.

Professor Jackson is very unclear in lecture and very confusing. He's a very talented and brilliant man but that doesn't mean brilliant people can teach. He didn't take much interest in student learning. During lecture, he often would jump into a concept without introducing it or provide method in any manner.

Extremely helpful in office hours but CANNOT understand him in class. Moves wayyy to fast and does not really explain material clearly. Homework very difficult. But once you get the concept, its not bad.

Definitely wants his students to do well but is extremely confusing in lecture. Exams have little to do with lecture and are based on OWLs and optional HW problems he assigns from the book. If you can do the homework problems easily enough, exams shouldn't be too hard.
