Absolutely wonderful lecturer; completely captivating, particularly in a class where sleep is more common than note-taking.

I went into Prof. Jorgensen's class thinking that I would JUST get by, that it would be extremely boring, according to the books that were included in the curriculum. Slowly but surely, to Professor Jorgensen's credit, HU221 became my favorite class of the semester. I highly reccommend Jorgensen, his classes are captivating :)

Jorgensen is a very passionate professor. He is truly interested in teaching his students the material for the class. He seemed to give the same grades on every paper he returned (plus or minus a third of a letter grade) no matter how much effort I put into the projects. This aside, he did give a bonus 1/3 grade on my average for participation!

Jorgensen is a great teacher! He takes the time to help his students think out their ideas, yet he'll tell you if he disagrees with what you say. His grading comments are the most helpful i've ever had from an english professor. He does factor in participation into your final grade, overall a very fair grader.

Professor Jorgenson really knew how to get a discusion going. Class was really interesting and you learn a lot from what he has to say. He also takes large amounts of his time for his students. He held review sessions for us and never have I had a teacher read a paper and then create a list from A-Z of what needs improvement or even what is good

The guy is a saint. I've never even heard of another professor giving a typed-page of insightful comments (lettered A to W) when handing back a 2-3 page writing assignment. He's very humble, extremely smart, exceedingly knowledgeable, reasonable, enthusiastic, pleasant, and considerate. What else could one want in a professor? Automatic A's?

Tells exactly how to do well. Great reviews for tests. Short papers, great feedback. Discussion usually catored to what students mention, with a few themes important to know for the English field. Easy to get a B/B+, hard to get an A. Wants to prepare you for the English major. Easy going.

I don't konw what the person before me was thinking, but he was a good teacher who knew quite a lot. He often rips papers apart, but still grades fairly easily, which is helpful for those who want to become better writers without sacrificing their GPA.

Def. VERY overrated; mediocre prof. at best. Has basic/some inaccurate info. & acts flawless. Grades are same for all (B+), although I received B+s on everything, ended up w/ a B unexpectedly. He hasn't responded yet. Material makes you "cocktail party smart," skim surface but no deep understanding

I had Jorgenson during my first year & despised the class. His class was one of the reasons why I dropped Core. But 2 years later, I appreciate Jorgy's teaching methods & hard grading. He definitely made a better writer & student out of me.

A very enthusiastic and kind man, he had many interesting things to say about the texts. Though sometimes I felt my discussion questions were to be directed at him rather than the whole class, he does a good job. You will have to work for the A. I did.

this guy is a superb, wise discussion leader. He taught me a lot and would stay after class to entertain my curiosities about what we were doing in class. He always ran review sessions out of reg. class time for the exams, which were helpful.
