Brother Kelly made class fun with his remarks and good sense of humor. As for teaching, he knows his stuff but doesn't teach it well. If I wasn't good in math and didn't read the textbook I would have done horrible. Brother Kelly loves if you ask for help and is always there when you need him. He actually wants you to do well and will boost grades.

The poor guy. He's old and has been at Marist since 1984. Funny guy, makes funny religious jokes (he's a brother), and always forgets stuff, but you can't help but feel bad for him when students correct him or when he loses his thought process. If you get math, then the class is easy. He is smart, but hes lost his touch and the class is slow.

Tough subject and he is very old fashioned in his teaching style. The best thing to do is ask questions, DO THE HOMEWORK (even though he doesn't check) and actually study. Participation will get you on his good side and can save you in the long run.

Had Bro. Kelly for stats, got an A cause I taught myself everything. Got an A in calc cause I went out and got a tutor. Avoid him at all costs because he is senile at this point. He doesn't even remember what he is talking about halfway through a sentence. His tests are harder than any of the material covered in class. I hate math because of him.

He is a nice man and knows the material very well, but if you do not easily pick up math concepts, I wouldn't recommend him for you. The material is not very difficult at all, you are allowed an equation sheet for all quizzes/tests and his grading is extremely fair, but his explanations of concepts and problems are shaky at best.

Fantastic Stats professor. Its impossible to get less than an A- because he drops all the lowest grades. He appears mean in class but simply just doesnt tolerate slackers. Show interest, and he's extremely nice and does nothing but praise you. He doesnt collect the homework but if you do it anyway you will do fantastic in the class. Love this guy.

His knowledge of the material is superior to any, but his knowledge of how to teach that to others is low. Teaches way to fast, gets angry easily if you ask many questions in class. Do Not Take if you want to actually learn. Every student of his must basically self learn the material. If that is for you then take him.

He is a nice guy (outside of class). He puts up a 'front,' as very strict and a hardass. He isn't very clear with his presentations, but really its just cause he is so old. I ended up teaching myself the whole course. Everything is out of the book. Half the class was failing, and he still blamed us.. I wouldn't recommmend his class

I actually liked brother kelly he is a really nice man. He knows what he is talking about and knows calculus, however, he is not really the greatest teacher. always in office hours and available to help. tests are ok and always gives quizzes.

Brother Kelly is an excellent teacher. I have him for Discrete Math this semester and he is always open to helping me before class in his office, and I usually just stop by. He may be older than the average professors but his experience shines as the material is practically inserted in your brain. He makes sure that the entire class understands.

Oh God, where to start... Brother Kelly is a terrible teacher, he knows his stuff, but cannot teach. He's not at all enthusiastic and class just drags on forever as a result. It's clear he doesn't want to be there, I can't believe they still let him teach at his age. He thinks everyone is a slacker and sometimes doesn't show for office hours. Avoid

Consistently makes mistakes in grading and teaching. Expects students to know material he has not gone over. Is prone to insulting students. Tests are extremely difficult. Does not teach material as it relates to CS, which is the entire point of the class. As others have said, avoid at all costs.

had him for calc2, he messed up in class a lot, however, if you needed extra help he was there. tests were the examples in the book. quizzes every class but it helps more than hurts. homework had the max of 5 problems. sweet,sweet man. suck up and you will do well
