Bryce is an incredible teacher. You must come to class to be able to do well in his courses, but his lectures are amazing. I was actually sad when the course was over. Would take a course with him again. If you struggle at all, see him in office hours. He's always happy to help students learn.

Professor Traister does not have the ego others assume he does. I spent a full year with him in a graduate class setting. He is extremely approachable and, although busy, he welcomes students to go to him for help. I often use him as a backboard for my ideas in other classes and life in general. Traister is clearly intelligent and loves to teach.

Although I had little interest in the subject matter, Bryce Traister is one of the most interesting and captivating lecturers I've ever had. Do not miss a class with him. He is extremely intelligent and it shows through his speaking.

So I'm not the only one who finds Prof T hot. And yes, he gives great oratory--almost as great as President !O! ;-)He is totally approachable, just busy. He let me audit this course and found time for my special interest, even tho I couldn't pay, due to $$issues. Talk about a man who fosters The Dream a la Frederick Douglass! Don't miss this class!

I took an american lit class with him many years ago. He's arrogant, yes, but he is also the reason I decided to pursue literature. The man is brilliant. You should take this class just to listen to Traister relate history and politics and films to texts. And also cause he's hot.

I've never heard anyone speak with the eloquence that Prof. Traister speaks with. He's incredibly intelligent and thorough. The course is a bit hard, but not like previous comments have stated. TAKE THIS COURSE if only to listen to the guy speak for 2 and a half hours. Brilliant. And hot.

Traister claims to keep records of attendance, but he isn't organized enough to actually keep a log of your attendance - so your mark will always be based on his 'gut feeling' about your character. In fact, your entire grade will be based on his biased opinion of you he forms early on. A man who looks at himself in the mirror a lot. Smug.

If you are looking for some way to torture yourself for a year, then take his class. Actually, that's too cruel of me, but seriously, only take his class if there is NOT a SINGLE lazy bone in your body. You know what, not even a BONE--whatever is smaller than a bone. (I'm obviously not a science student.) Be in supernerd mode 24/7 & you'll be fine.

Probably my hardest first year course. Traister is an excellent lecturer. I don't think I missed a single one. He's completely unapproachable though and my essay comments were downright mean. Don't take his courses if it's for the grade. I would recommend them though if it's just for your interest.

The best course I took in undergrad - his lectures are amazing, well-organised and sometimes even inspiring. He definitely knows what he's talking about and whenever I approached him he was always incredibly helpful and understanding. If you take this course, take it with him, it was a great learning experience.

Enjoyed this class very much. He does use difficult words but he is more then willing to break everything down for you. Extremely helpful, felt like highschool homeroom.
