As a person she's incredibly kind, not the best prof. She keeps the content of lectures short but shows long, boring videos every lecture- tests on all of them. She speaks very softly but it bores you to death and can't really follow along. More reading involved in this course than Sociology and more films outside of class up an hour long.

She's generally a good prof. Her tests and quizzes are a little bit on the tougher side of things so if you're going for a bird course I wouldn't recommend one of her classes. All the information you need is in the lecture slides which are usually posted online.

This Prof knows her stuff, is interested in her subject matter and her students. She has a different perspective then the typical academic (used early funk/hip hop to demonstrate the african-american experience in US) and she respects ideas that aren't her own. Class was content heavy, and tons of reading, but worth it.

Best dressed prof in the entire university. always prepared for class, when she lectures the class falls silent b/c she is very articulate and a fiery speaker. Lots of work but, she is fair, understanding and always available for extra help.
