I have taken many online classes, and Prof. Trupiano ranks among the highest for facilitating an online class. She is very engaged in the course, and keeps constant contact with the class. She provides a lot of material and direction for assignments. Very strict with no late homework - only reason I didn't get a 4.0. Highly recommend!!

Comment:

This was my first totally online class and it was a great experience. I would take all of my classes online if I could be convinced that they were all like this one. There was plenty of homework and graded requirements but the directions were clear, there were plenty of lecture notes, communications and reminders.

Great class/professor to do an online class with. Just listen to her VERY clear instructions and expectations. Which are not that bad. Do not miss any assignments. The class was overall relatively easy but provided great information. Highly suggest taking this online class with this instructor.

Useful writing tips that are surprisingly practical in the real world when compared to most writing courses. Be prepared for some assignments that seem pointless or like a waste of time, but nothing really difficult. Very clear expectations set, and lots of communication. Very straightforward online class and easy A if you plan & are literate.

This is a great business writing class. She gives plenty of instructions on what to do, if you follow the exact instructions there is no reason to not get an A. The assignments are very helpful and will actually help you in your future. No quizzes/test or finals. Just writing assignments (some short, some long). You need the book. Great professor!!

She makes it very clear of her expectations of you. Grading guidelines are spelled out from the beginning. If you are a good student and you make a mistake she will make exceptions for you. I sent her the wrong assignment, she has strict grading rules but she let me turn it in late because i have never made a mistake. She's amazing & really cares.

I took business writing online. First online class and I can't imagine it gets any better than her. She posted chapter lecture notes (the textbook was an easy read), is VERY CLEAR about directions, due dates, anything and everything you need to know - I found no room for confusion. Several exercises from the book so you need it. Would take again!

Decent prof. Fair grader, she is super sweet so I would recommend but with a warning: there will be A LOT of POINTLESS, REDUNDANT, BUSY work. Some assignments were so repetitive I literally took what I wrote the week before and used it for whatever new pointless assignment she had planned. the work load got overwhelming at times.

This prof is decent. She assigns ALOT of busy work, pointless redundant, just BEYOND annoying. The work is time consuming as well. We have two papers. The APA paper she provides NO help on, she made our class teach ourselves using online resources. Attendance is mandatory. The only good thing about this class was that it was partially online.

She is honestly the worst teacher I have ever had in a writing class. She assigns a lot of pointless busy work. We also have two papers.When she talks about assignments, she is very unclear as to what she wants us to do...her directions on moodle are no better. She grades relatively hard considering she doesn't seem that difficult.

Course was rather easy. Dare I say the most difficult assignment (?) was the proposal. If taken online, make sure to read and reread the assignments to make sure you address everything she is asking for. Will need to comment constructively to fellow student's non-graded assignments.

Trupiano is very nice. I had her online and her comments always were uplifting. I feel like she was a bit picky on some things just so everyone doesn't get a 4.0.. I really dislike that about school. I'm not a writing major, I'm a business major, so it sucks that I have to be an AMAZING writer to get a 4.0 when that's not even my major. :(

She's average. My least favorite part about Prof. Trupiano is that she always provided all these kind words about my essays, but my grade didn't reflect it. I didn't know what to do for my next papers to improve. I didn't learn much.

She is very nice and helpful. She explains everything super clear how she wants things done. She wants to see you do well and improve little by little with each essay. Read her comments on your essays and online discussions and fix everything she says to work on for your next assignment and you will get at least a 3.5. I definitely recommend her!

Best teacher to take for WRT 160, the reading responses are really easy to comment on and you almost always will get a 3.5 or higher. She complains about attendance A LOT, so just show up. No finals or mid-terms and the final essay topic you get to pick yourself. Really nice and understanding and doesn't play favorites.

pretty easy grader, the problem is once she grades your essays, she doesnt do a very good job teling you what you did wrong. she leaves a few brie comments & expects u to have a perfect paper the next time. he class is so boring, all she does is talk for two hours non stop. she complains A LOT about attendance and forces u to be in class everyday.
