OMG, i hate this class so much. I was excited because it sounded interesting but Professor Bertocci mumbled and would spend one hour on each slide, ramble on and on about useless information. I would reccommend not taking his class and saving your money. I had him for 3 hours once a week and it was terrible.

Professor Bertocci desperately needs to retire. His lectures are extremely off topic and he is hard to understand. His tests were ridiculously confusing. Our class was the first to have multiple choice and they were horrible.

Professor Bertocci did a really great job teaching us a comprehensive, basic knowledge of the Indian sub-continent. I wasn't originally that interested but he was really engaging and threw in stories that kept your attention. He mumbles and gets off track sometimes, but he knows what he's talking about and is extremely respectful and understanding.

Extremely knowledgeable. The most cultured man I've ever met. He has a real passion and knowledge for the material, which unfortunately leads to very long lectures. Don't take a 3.5 hour class with him, because he will go the full time, everytime. Disorganized, half the time we didn't know what assignments were due; there was no syllabus.

Long winded, but he means well. Sometimes hard to understand. Very boring class, but I ended up learning a lot. No exams, but he uses 3 essays as the exams.

Bertocci is an unique professor. He man knows his stuff, and is passionate about and interested in theory. The material covered in class was interesting, however, his delivery was not. Simply stated, he loves to talk and go off on tangents. Overall he is a good professor, but has high expectations... you must be a good writer to do well.

One of the most brilliant teachers I have had during my OU career. He is passionate about his work and his research and is more than willing to help you get started on your career. He helped me along my journey to getting into graduate school and after graduating OU 1 ago I still talk to him. He expects decent work from you, but is realistic!

Going to Peter's class is a painful experience. He has minimal interest and experience in the subject he teaches. His tests are easy enough if you study. He manages to make an interesting subject dull as heck. This guy NEEDS to retire. Take him only if you have tons of patience and are very self-motivated.

Do not take this course if you really want to learn something about the Middle East. He's a nice guy but his lectures were repetitive and inconsistent with the material that was actually on the exams.

I made the mistake of not listening to previous poor ratings of this prof. Students in my class used to laugh because his handouts are yellow and dog-earred with age. Some of the research he presented was from 30 years ago. His tests are ridiculously hard and he doesn't review. Saying he mumbles is an understatement. He seriously needs to retire.

DON'T TAKE HIM FOR Intro to ME! He has never studied this topic except on his own time & interests. The tests are ridiculous. All essays and very hard. No way to know what he will ask on them. MUMBLES! Keeps you the whole time for night class w/attendance at the end! Takes him 20 minutes to get out something that should take 2 sentences! Awful!!

His tests are ridiculously hard, he asks questions that are so specific, you wouldn't know them unless you wrote the text. Stay away.
