Comment:

Prof. Wilson clearly knows her stuff. The lectures aren't that long usually, we got out at least 10 minutes about half the time. BUT the ONLY grades you have for her are three papers and the final exam. She is very picky with what she looks for in the papers. Once you get a bad grade on one thing, it's impossible to get it back up; SEE HER FOR HELP

I took History of the underground railroad with Wilson. I loved the class and there wasn't much to do besides show up and participate, however the three papers were pretty much the whole grade and she grades very hard.

Have been mighty disappointed. Honestly the least challenging professor I have ever had. I have no doubt she knows her stuff but she teaches as if we are in 8th grade US history. If you want to have thoughtful class discussions I would not recommend her classes.

I took a History of the Underground Railroad with Wilson and although the topic was interesting, the lectures tended to be long. She assigns a lot of reading which is mandatory to pass! Her tests aren't bad but once your grade is low, there isn't much to bring it up!

The class was History of South Africa, we spent a month on the history between 1648-1725, and about an hour on the period between 1960-2007. She is a content heavy teacher who tested every detail and the average notes taken for each class were 4-5 pages long.
