All exams are written and no multiple choice so that made it more difficult. This class is extremely lecture heavy. Expect a lecture every class period. Her exams are straight and to the point and gives you the option to choose between questions instead of answering every single one. This is something I really liked. Very kind professor.

She writes everything on the board during lectures, so you'll want to go to class and take good notes. Exams are all essay and short answer, but she gives a detailed study guide and says exactly what will be on the exams. As long as you take good notes and study, you will be fine. Final exam was optional and she grades on a curved scale.

She is very caring and nice professor! even though there is no multiple choice or T/F question on exams, two pages exam guide will save your life. as long as you study hard, an easy A you will get.

Theres a required book but professor lectures every class. Make sure you come to class and take down lecture notes or you will not pass comprehensive exams. Amazing grading scale.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! She's nice but all of the exams are written answers and its so hard. If you don't want to buy the book you have to go to the lectures and take good notes which is impossible because she writes in cursive on the board (if you sit in the back you cant read it) and talks way too much. Take your class with someone else

She was really a great teacher to have. She does not take attendance which is nice but I would recommend attending class because a lot of the exams are based on what she says in class. The only bad part is your grade in the class is based on exams and quizzes so if you are not a good test taker good luck. Overall I would take her again.

One of the best professors ive had. Attendance is not mandatory but she writes everything on the board so you have to come to class to know whats going on. exams are very clear whats going to be on them, no surprises. Her grading scale is different so you have a better chance to get an A. extra credit at the end of the semester. wants you to pass.

3 exams 90% of grade. quiz on each unit 10% of grade. she grades the exams way too tough in my opinion. they are all fill in the blank essay questions, not mult choice or T/F. theres a lot of material, and not only do you need to know it all, you need to have a complete understanding of it. NOT an easy A, u have to work hard. pick someone else

Don't waste your time with the textbook, all the notes you'll need she will hand write out on the board for you. Tough grader on exams (marked down for misspelling a word) , but 90 is an A. Exam Review Guides save your life, know everything on them and you're golden.

Was nervous to take an economics course, but Dr. McDevitt makes the class worthwhile! There's a lot of material covered throughout the semester. It is broken down into 3 units though: expect an exam after each unit. The whole grade is made up of those 3 exam scores and scores from online quizzes. She writes all the notes you need on the board!

Class is based on 3 tests (30% of grade each) and 4 quizzes (other 10%). Really tough grader on tests. Makes the information really clear by writing it all on the board. The lectures are boring but she is really enthusiastic when it comes to economics.

She's a tough grader, but as long as you show up to class and take notes you'll be fine. The best tip I can give aside from that is go through and answer the practice questions she posts for exams, it helps alot! She gives an optional final that you can choose to take if you're not doing so good, but do good and one less final to study for!

Her lectures are fantastic! Take good notes and study for the exams (which are all write out, no multiple choice) and you'll do fine. She grades her exams very very close. Miss one word in a paragraph points are coming off. She is very enthusiastic about her field.

If you are a good at studying and memorizing every word in your book you'll do fine. No multiple choice tests, all short answers. MEMORIZE EVERYTHING. She writes in cursive and writes everything on the board hard to read. Hard class if you don't memorize everything. There are easier teachers, pick someone else.

She is an excellent lecturer and is able to explain material quite well. My only complaint about her lectures is that she doesn't permit questions to be asked frequently. Her exams are not terribly hard, but there is no multiple choice on them. If you aren't good at non-multiple choice tests I recommend you take someone else's class.

Class was not too tough, but not easy. You have to pay attention and take good notes, which is hard to do because he lectures are super boring. Her exams are not too hard if you read the directions super carefully, she if very picky. Quizes are not hard but they are hard to get above an 80% because theyre not that many points.

She lectures the entire class. Test can be difficult, however if you meet with her in office hours she can help tremendously. Take pictures of online quizes to ace them in 3 attempts. Do well on all 3 tests so you dont have to take final.

She is a very nice professor but this class is far from an entry level class. Her exams are awful. She states that this is an intro class but expects us to take every exam in essay/short answer form. My roommate had Microeconomics and is getting a B in there because his professor has multiple choice exams. She is just crazy for the style of exams.
