Madame is amazing!! I came into the year a little nervous for French because I wasn't very good in high school, but she made it enjoyable and a class I looked forward to going to everyday. Her office hours are so helpful. Not a single test all year, just quizzes, essays, projects, and a final research project. Would totally recommend taking her!!

She is a gem! She's realistic and understands that not everyone wants to pursue French after they complete their language requirements. She not only lectures but does a lot of activities based on France's history, other French speaking countries, and books. She is always available for office hours. Love her.

Madame Savell is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She truly cares about her students, and her love of French is apparent in every class. She was a little disorganized, which made it difficult to keep track of when assignments were due, but in turn she was very lenient about dates and turning in work. Definitely take her!

Madame Savell is such a great teacher! She's really funny and always makes the effort to make the class more fun and tries to make her students feel comfortable speaking in French! The workbook is definitely a must because that's where most of our homework comes from! Definitely make use of her office hours, she's very helpful!

Such a wonderful teacher! She tries so hard to make everyone feel comfortable in class. A lot of participation is required, and there is often a good bit of homework, but it is all very helpful. She finds so many ways to evaluate what we have learned, so if you do badly on one paper, it does not ruin your entire grade. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Mme Savell is so nice! I'm really bad at french, so it's miserable to be called on in class to give an answer, but she tries to make everyone feel comfortable. There's a lot of homework, but she also finds a lot of ways to test your knowledge so if you're bad at one thing, you shouldn't ruin your grade over it. Take her!

I loved French all throughout high school, did exceptionally well in it, and was considering minoring in it until I took this class. Madame Savell is an extremely nice person, but for some reason, it was difficult for me to succeed in this class, despite the fact that I did all of the work and then some. I never want to take French again.

My favorite french teacher ever. Treats you like an adult. Very helpful and clear. Also, she is willing to work with students who have trouble in french, inclding finding different ways to test them if they have trouble with a certain aspect of french. Will also give good grades for good effort, even if you are terrible at french.

i had some trouble with the class, but it was easy for others. i got a bad grade on a test so i talked to her and she went out of her way so i could bring it up from a D to a B without having to do anything difficult. if u start struggling talk to her about it, she'll love you for it and help u out.
