i dont get all the good comments. hes nice but def didnt try to get to know students and you have to study the most unimportant details for tests! def need to read the book, study really hard, and make sure u copy ALL the notes. esp focus on lists for the tests. ull b tempted to bring ur laptop-its THAT BORING- but dont 4 ur sake - u need to focus!

One of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. The hour flew by every time. Tests can be a bit tricky, but should be easy to get atleast an A-. Study the notes and pay attention to details. You dont need to read the books, though they are interesting. Really nice professor!

Wow, another class I wished I cared for before the midterm. Ultra interesting class. Super easy. Copy the slides to notes, study notes a few hours and your home free for at least an A-. Take note that the tests hit details, pay attention to them in the notes, especially when there is a list. Take this class, 4 credits for 3 hours a week.

Took the class for a gen-ed and was delighted that it did not require much work. stopped reading the books halfway through the semester when I realized he nevers asks test questions on them. no written assignments either. He's a little tricky especially on the first quiz when you don't know what to expect, but cram for the tests, you'll do fine.

Many of the topics we covered in class were interesting but there were some lectures where I looked at my watch over and over, waiting for class to end. You don't really need to read the books, but some of the test questions were tougher than I expected (despite studying) & some were really obscure. Not as great of a class as I thought it would be.

I took this class to fulfil a gen ed, but it was very interesting. The tests are made so you either know the answers SO well, or you have no idea.He is very open to hearing you argue points back on tests, so if you think you deserve to get a question right, TALK TO HIM. The TA's cheated me out of 8 points on the midterm.

Just take good notes and memorize them for quizzes and tests and you'll do fine. I got an A on the first 3 tests, but the final made my final grade an A-, but I still can't complain. Smart professor, interesting class, I recommend it.

This class is so great. Cobb is a great man, and he's super nice. Even though the class was pretty early Cobb had such a great sense of humor towards everything that is was fun to sit through. The quizes and exams arent bad, they come right from the notes. you'll really enjoy this class.

Plagues is a really interesting class. The exams for the most part pretty easy but on each one there was always a few tough questions that were really specific or asking you to come up with the definition of some obscure factoid that was barely covered class. Overall, I loved the class though.
