I took a class with Ms Walker 36 years ago. She's an engaging lecturer, encourages discussion, is available outside of class and gives excellent feedback on assignments. All the things you expect of a prof. More importantly, she taught me how to think, to question, and to write effectively. Take her class - any class - you will not be disappointed.

Walker is my favorite professor. I enjoy going to USEM and listening to her wacky and crude comments. Never boring. Very helpful- I was having trouble writing a paper and she helped get things on track. I would like to take another class of hers.

Best prof I had at Brandeis. Always friendly, always leading interesting class discussions, always open to different ideas. Hard grader, but detailed comments on every paper. You want Walker if you want to actually learn anything, but not for an easy A.

A wonderful teacher. I am male, but my good friend, who is female, was with me in the same class, and also loved her. Encouraging, stimulating and, yes, a bit kooky, but in a wonderful way. One of the best profs I've had here.

Egotist? Favors males? You are obviously talking about a different prof. I'm female, and the Cheryl Walker I knew was the best mentor I had in my four years at Brandeis... and I was lucky enough to have several very good mentors.
