Wonderful, expert on writing, I have learned invaluable information on improving my technique. Lots of reading, twice much writing but lots of growth. Take her if you are serious about writing. She is knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent writer and world traveler.

Dr. Cozzens is one of the most amazing people I've ever met. She's done everything (even written for the New York Times!) yet is a helpful, passionate teacher. She's not a hard grader but she expects you to do tons of reading and writing. I've become an infinitely better writer and person having had her as a teacher and boss.

I'm not a English person, so this class is hard for me. However, she and the tutor in class do a lot to help everyone as much as possible. The books and movies are nice to read and not really hard. It's a good class to improve writing skills!

My new favorite professor at ASC! Such a joy to be around. She genuinely cares about all her students and wants to see them do well. Willing to help do what she can to make you succeed. Professor Cozzens is a very good professor. She really pushes her students to write more effectivelyâ€"she emphasizes analytical writing. She also teaches you how to present your perspectiveâ€" ‘peppered’ with historical evidence and socially conscious ideas. Surprisingly, class discussions aren’t ruled by the typical authoritative perspective of a
