Comment:

Horrible experience. She is extremely rude and makes no effort to learn anything about her students. She is quick to make accusations about students and doesnt even attempt to be understanding. It is crazy to me that so many great students and genuine people want help and try to learn, and this woman has no issue being extremely rude to them.

She is such a helpful professor if you are having problems understanding anything. I did very well in her class because she is great at explaining the content because she herself had trouble understanding the content when she was in school. Would defiantly recommend!!

She understands that statistics can be complicated at times but she is willing to clarify any questions or concerns you may have because she's been through it before. If you pay attention to her lectures and do her homework, you should be fine. I recommend not going to the bathroom in the middle of class because you will get lost.

Despite doing all of my work and taking extremely thorough notes I still have difficulty getting the grades I want on the quizzes. It's very discouraging when you put all of your effort into something and feel like your failing. I asked her what I could do to improve and she had no input since I'm doing all of the readings and not too in advance.

Anyone who says not to take her is obviously lazy and doesn't want to put in anything for their grade. She is very clear about what she wants and is truly passionate about teaching. She gives you plenty of feedback, grades quickly, and gives plenty of opportunities for her to give feedback on drafts. If you actually want to learn something take her

Teacher is ridiculously hard for no reason. Changed the hybrid class to completely online, but bumped up the time by 8 hours, making it hard to turn in assignments on time. Discussion posts due every week, will take off points for small typos and grammar mistakes. Does not have any empathy for problems in personal life. Would not recommend taking.

This is the worst professor in the world!she gave us a paper to do and even though I sent it in early for her to correct and I made all of her corrections I still got a poor grade. She is rude and does not care about her students. Her quizzes are impossible and she doesn't help you at all if you have a question. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER, SAVE YOURSELF!

Dr. Tartaro is a really great professor. I had her for Corrections last semester and loved the class. She picks really interesting books that I enjoyed reading (even though it was a lot). A cool part of the class was the two field trips we went on. Loves open-ended quizzes, so if you suck at those definitely don't take the class.

Do not take this professor!!! She is a tough grader and tears apart your work!! It is a ton of work for a G course, there is homework's and discussions due every week along with 1 or 2 video lectures and quizzes. Be prepared to work harder than any of your other classes. Highly NOT recommended.

She is a very knowledgeable professor and if you are willing to put in the work you will get a lot out of the class. You can't just sit through the lectures and expect to do well. Tartaro definitely makes you work for your grade. Make sure your on time with assignments, she doesn't accept late work and there are slight chances of being able to make up quizzes if you miss them. Orientation is mandatory, if you skip you're booted from the class. lots of reading but material is interesting and I'm not even a CRIM major

If you are a Crim major at Stockton I highly recommend Tartaro. She is very helpful and an easy grader!! She gives 3 quizzes and drops the lowest one. Homework is 50% of your grade and she also provides the class with a tutor. I hate math and stats and she has changed my perspective this semester. TAKE HER!

I took Tartaro for statistics and she is AMAZING. If you aren't good in statistics take her. She makes everything as clear and easy as possible and wants you to understand it. She had a tough time passing it in college so she's a perfect professor for this class!

I don't know where to start. Lectures are just vague distillations of readings. Grades on a downward curve. Fails to connect with the class and doesn't answer all aspects of emails for some reason, even of you ask more than once. The class left a bad taste in my mouth and was a disillusioning way to end my time at Stockton.

Terrible teacher. Accused me of plagarising for the first part of our paper which was only a rough draft and reported me for not putting quotation marks. I had the authors name cited just forgot the damn quotation marks. I tried to win against it but she would not change her mind. Had to withdraw from class and ended up with a warning. DO NOT TAKE!
