Workload aside, hands down the worst professor I have ever had to deal with in my life! Never met a professor who goes so far out of their way to be as big an inconvenience as he does. Instead of presenting ways for you to be successful, he creates opportunities for you to fail. Do Not Recommend! Unfortunate because he does not represent the dept

Personally hate this guy more then anything but hes not a bad teacher. Really liberal and doesn't really make any attempt to show things from any other perspective and shuts down any conservative leaning arguments. Made me change my major.

you either love or hate Cliff. he is an intense teacher and you really have to work for your grade but I personally learned a lot about the criminal justice system and the myths we are told constantly. dont take his jokes too seriously and really study.

Comment:

Do not skip class. He is a tough grader but the knowledge you gain is worth it. He truly loves what he does and understands that his class is hard. Go to his office hours if you don't understand or are having a hard time. He is a required professor (He is the only one who teaches intro to crim. and like 2 other classes). I recommend him though.

Cliff is actually a pretty good teacher. Takes his work very seriously! I took an introduction to Criminology with him and was very enlightened by the end of the course. He likes to think that he's scaring his students, but honestly very lovable and easy to talk and relate to. He will crack a couple of jokes here and there, but be prepared to learn

Cliff is a always a hard grader. The good thing about his Criminal Justice Systems class is that he doesn't assign a research paper. Either you love, or hate Cliff. I happen to think he's pretty awesome.

SOC 345 Conflict Resolution is very hard. A ton of reading about labor unions which is difficult to understand and the quizzes do not reflect whether you read the material or not. Very hard to do work in this class. Can not come in more than 5 seconds late or he tells you to leave. Very tough grader.

Cliff is a very odd at how he teachers. Had him for cjs and soc andlet me tell ya by far the hardest classes at Le Moyne. Quizzes are a joke and everything is so hard! He loves to just destroy people mentally in class and seems like he hates what hes doing. DO NOT TAKE HIM. I will not be taking another class with him

Cliff Don is a very "different" teacher. His attitude is hilariously rude, yet not threatening. The daily quizzes took 5 minutes and were directly from the assigned chapter for that day. Overall an easy class if you read the chapter and go to class daily. Research paper was ridiculously easy too. It was worth taking this class

An ok techer. High probablility of an A in his class if you follow directions TO THE LETTER. VERY VERY VERY, i reapeat, VERY picky grader. Sometimes has the ability to make an assignment way harder than it neeeds to be. Probably would avoid another class with him.

Cliff is one of the best professors I ever had. He is tough but I learned more from him than any other professor. He makes everything easy to understand. He is always helpful. If you have a problem always ask him in his office, never do it in front of other students. He is very understanding when you talk to him one on one.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! His attitude in the classroom is not conducive to learning! There is tons of reading for a 2 question quiz. I worked my butt off- did all the readings and went to class EVERY DAY and still ended up with a C. On top of all this, I don't feel like I learned anything that was really useful concerning conflict resolution.

Do not take. It is a soc class but he doesn't care, he teaches it like an IRL class. Acts like we have a background in business when we don't. Lots of articles to read. Doesn't explain them. Can be disrespectful. Over 100pgs to read and then a 2 question quiz on some random thing in the reading. Only good thing is 80 = A. Still, avoid him.
