One of the best private instructors at this school. Had him for three semesters and his double bass lab. Killer drummer and has great advice. Can't recommend him enough

I had Dave for Double Bass Lab. He's a monster player, and an extremely nice guy. (Just don't play if he doesn't have earplugs in.) He taught us a ton of vocabulary using Syncopation. We focused on single strokes; check out Mangini if you want to do doubles, too. Great class for musical vocabulary. You play a ton in class, so do the homework!

Dave is my favorite drummer in the world, and his teaching method is second to none! His philosophy about posture and fluidity on the kit will see a vast improvement in your playing. I like the fact that he will make you work as well and he knows if you don't practice. Highly recommended!

Dave is probably one of the best drummers in the world and he's also a great teacher. I think every drummer at Berklee needs to take atleast one semester with the man before he/she graduates. He will help your playing, musicality and technique like no other teacher can. And watching this man play is an experience in itself.

Comment:

Great teacher very in tune with all the physical aspects of drumming, and very musical. He can articulate right-brain concepts in left-brain speech that is very easy to understand and makes lot of sense. Reminds me of his father, Dick Dicenso.
