Quizzes in class before each lab. Final is open book. She gives you clear report sheets to fill out after lab. She goes through the experiment before and she will check your lab report and help you with any questions.

Professor Lu has a very heavy accent, but I don't feel that it affected how I did in the class at all. The lab reports are 70% of your grade and she grades them really easily so it's easy to do well in the class. I always had her check any calculations I was unsure on before I left class so my report would be correct. She's very willing to help

I seemed to understand Na Lu better than most in the class, and still was often unclear on instructions. Even the kid in my class who recently moved from China cannot understand her. Na Lu grades tough, taking points off for almost anything. Lab manuals from canvas are often different from instruction, so her accent really does impede a good grade

Na lu was probably the best lab professor I've had so far. She makes sure to do all the calculations needed and explain how to do things before class. Grading isn't too tought. There is a take home class project for the midterm that was tought and a final that is open note that wasn't too bad.

Na Lu is a nice woman, but she lost two of my lab reports a week before finals week, and because she didn't have a grade written down told me I either had to re-write them completely or find the old lab reports and give them back to her. Also, her pre-lab quizzes are not timed, but definitely much more difficult than other professors I have had.

Her accent is a little heavy, but you can get used to it. She gives great instruction for the labs, and is willing to help throughout the lab. Graded primarily by lab assignments due before class each week but mostly on the lab reports, which are pretty easy.

Professor Lu is extremely hard to understand due to her heavy accent but was absolutely one of my favorite professors so far at JMU. She is so kind and really wants her students to do well. She always gives feedback and helps when there is any confusion. My lab did not have a midterm and the final was repeating an experiment we had already done.

Lu was hard to understand, but if you pay attention she gives you all the info you need for lab. Lab quizzes are hard but they're only worth 10% of your grade. Only had 2 formal lab reports, the rest were data sheets. Picky about sig figs, but I still got a 90 or above on all of them. Final was open note and midterm was cancelled. Taking her again.

Lu is Asian so she is a little hard to understand. The midterm is take home and the final is open note. The class is really easy overall. You will definitely get out early for every lab. She has some classes cancelled during the semester for a short break. Watch for significant figures on lab reports!

It can be a little hard to understand her sometimes, but this class really isn't hard. As long as you do the lab reports you should get above a B. Watch significant figures though because she really cares about those. You only do a few lab reports and the rest are just data tables. The online canvas quizzes are hard, but they don't count for much.

Her Chinese accent is extremely very to understand, but she definitely provides you with enough materials/visuals to understand what to do. The labs are pretty easy and her she grades extremely easy as well. The online quizzes are extremely hard but as long as you show up and complete the work you'll do fine. The final exam is open note.

Dr. Lu is very hard to understand and her online quizzes once a week are very hard. However she grades the labs very easy and those are 70% of your grade. I would recommend.

I signed up for this class thinking it would be easy, after all it is just lab, however, it was not easy. The online pre-lab tests are incredibly difficult, the average on these quizzes are a 60. The lab write ups are easy, but we have to do more work than other students with other professors. The final is also awful, average was a 70. Do not take

Fairly easy lab, she doesn't do too many full lab reports. Most of what you turn in are just data sheets. However, her prelabs are a pain and hard to get a decent grade on. She makes her midterm and final as easy as she can, and will maximize your time in lab because she doesn't want to be there anymore then we do.

Not a super easy class, but Na Lu makes it easy to do well. Lab reports are easy to get an A on and the final test was pretty easy. Can't understand her half the time but if you ask a question, she'll do her best to answer it.

She has a strong accent which is hard to understand. She only gives 4 lab reports and is not tough on grading. Midterm was take home and final was open note. The help is there when needed and she explains everything she wants. She made lab really fair and easy.

Lu is the best!! She is lenient enough to cancel classes and tests or move stuff around. However, always be on time and have your materials though. She is an easy grader as long as you are specific and follow her lab write up guidelines closely. Just be a good student and don't B.S.

Dr. Lu is a very smart woman who is there for you. She is a bit difficult to understand sometimes, but If you read the lab manual beforehand and ask questions, it's an easy A. There were only 2 tests and both were take home so it was very easy. Take time to do the lab reports and pick a good lab partner!

She literally has the thickest accent ever. Don't sit in the back of the room because you will not understand what she's saying at all. The lab reports are super easy though if you even know what you have to turn in.
