Comment:

I love her! She has a great sense of humour and keeps class interesting. She cares about her students and about her language. Emphasizes on pronunciation but is understanding. Quizzes are frequent to test knowledge, but the warm ups on the board are exactly the same as the quizzes. Do the assignments, and assured A. I would def. take her again.

Nice enough person, but not a great teacher. Her class is very difficult if you've never had French before. She doesn't explain grammer clearly and takes off points for spelling on tests.

I've had this professor twice in my time with the French program at UNCC. I wish Bissiere, Noiset, or any of the others taught the higher level French classes. She's disorganized, her writing assignments make no sense. Plays favorites big time.

Never collects homework, expect a quiz at least once a week but they are easy and you go over the material right before them. Ignore the on avance stuff, quia if you just submit the verbal, she doesn't check them,you will get a 100. go to class cuz the board warm ups are on the tests. When she says know something, you should cuz she calls on people

The worst professor at UNCC. Totally biased, not helpful. She grades based on her mood swings (which are horrible) and she is completely lost in lectures. Don't waste your time or money.

I don't even know where to begin. She tells you what "may or may not be on a test". She assigns grades based on how well she likes you...that is, if she even feels like grading. She spends most of the class period struggling with a computer and pulling up pointless Youtube videos. Bottom line: AVOID. She clearly doesn't want her students to learn.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. She is already on the way out due to numerous student grievances. She is unorganized, unfair, late, sloppy, and she is very mean towards Francophone Africans. She is not above grading poorly to spite you. Take Bissiere or Noiset or Stephenson. She is by far the worst professor in the department. A V O I D

Ok she is crazy, disorganized when it comes to email and stuff, she never collects hw. You have to go to class b/c she will tell you what will be on the quizes and you better know it b/c its cummulative. Its a very interactive classroom, ALWAYS volunteer even if you don't know it, she hates smarty pants, so play dumb if you already know french.

Senora Vance is too funny. She has a super-excited attitutide about Spanish (epecially eruopean) and really wants her students to succeed. However, I suggest her solely to students who have had some previous experience with Spanish. She's a great teacher to jump start your memory and really work on the perfection of your skills, not the basics.

I really enjoyed her class. You have to get on her good side to do well in the class. Just participate whenever you get a chance, even if you make mistakes. She loves students who at least try! Also, memorize what she says to memorize before class because she will call on you. I'd take her for Spanish 2 if she was teaching it.

This professor overall is a good teacher. She is a bit unorganized in the beginning but you get used to that. Her test are not difficult if you come to class. There will be frequent quizzes. She is fun and energentic while teaching so you would have a problem listening to her for an hour and 20 min. Do the homework b/c she does take it up sometimes

This lady will frustrate you to no end but she corrects you, unlike many of the French professors, and she will genuinely help you improve your French...if you can stand her! Also, she grades really hard during the semester (I was getting super low grades) and then gives you what you deserve at the end of the semester (I got an A).
