What a pointless course! And taught by a man of such little consequence, with thoughts of ... well, I don't know. All I really learned from this course is that Rousseau is kind of an idiot, but a really good writer. It was the most boring four hours of my week.

I had a terrible time in this class. TOO hard for a 100level course. Some 4th years in the class said it was the hardest class they've ever taken. There were 10 textbooks and no time to read them all. Got the most TERRIBLE TA, he couldn't speak/spell and was an economics major, wth?! This prof was better than Gandesha though.

REALLY, REALLY helpful! He taught with Dr. Gandesha last semester but did a MUCH better job with his lectures - he made them engaging and interactive by talking to US. (Not murmuring to himself like the other prof did.) I was only upset because he didn't lecture as often. Good job, Dr. Duguid, keep up the good work!

looking back, he was one of the best profs i've had so far. he made the material interesting with his personal insight and understanding. try to get him as your tutorial leader, it makes the class so much better. just having his lecture isn't the same thing

Enjoyed this class. There is a lot to read though. We go through one text a week. The class is set up so that you have 2 hours of tutorial and 1 hour of lecture to encourage discussion. He knows what he is talking about and is perhaps, too sure about it.
