Dave's lectures were amazing. Engaging and hilarious, they conveyed the information in a way that was easy to understand. Short-answer and essay exams are only based on lectures and not on readings so if you miss one class it could hurt you. But he's accessible outside of class and gives good explanations of concepts

Comment:

Suggs is awesome. Take an upper level with him if you have the opportunity to. He's not an easy grader, but you'll be okay with that. He talks a lot but also remembers every word he says. Write down everything, especially his definitions. If you go to office hours he will point blank tell you what is on the test.

Suggs is a really good storyteller. The class itself is pretty boring, but his stories make it more interesting. Incredibly helpful in office hours and his puppy is the best. If you were to take a class in the Anth department, I would suggest Suggs

Suggs is amazing. He made me want to be an Anth minor. He's so thoughtful and intelligent and it was always a joy to go to his class. If you get the chance, take a class with him. It's amazing.

Great professor, great guy. I love to listen to his stories, in class and outside. He's humble yet incredibly smart, and loves being able to inspire his students. Definitely take a class with Suggs before you graduate

Dave is a huge goof who also happens to be a genius. His lectures are interesting and his personal anecdotes never fail to entertain. He loves teaching and when people come into office hours. Take this class if you want to be entertained and obtain a deep knowledge about the subject. This is not an easy A, he grades very strictly but fairly.

Human Sexuality and Cuture is an amazing class! His lectures are very interesting and he encourages us to participate, although he likes to talk a lot. Shares lots of (very) personal anecdotes but they alwayd connect with the topic. He loves seeing people in office hours, and he will talk your ear off. Take a class with him. He's so cool.

This guy's so good, I considered changing majors. Straightforward and clear. Peppers his lectures with extremely interesting anecdotes from his anthropology research in Botswana and at Kenyon. One of the best classes I've taken at Kenyon.

Clear, concise and very engaging lecturer. He knows what he's talking about but isn't pompous about it. Always willing to answer questions and meet outside of class. Grades tough, but fair - very clear about what he expects.
