David knows what he's talking about. He can come off as rudecocky but when you've been in the business this long and have had to deal with stubborn students and rude clients you have reason to be. Definitely wish I had him first year because the prof I had didn't teach me in one semester what he can in one class. Have a question, ask him.

You won't like him if you're arrogant yourself. He's been in this business for years. He knows what he's doing. Attend this class with an open mind and you'll do fine. If you have questions, ASK! He tends to repeat his stories which gets annoying but he means well. Hard ass for sure but he's doing you good for the future.

David is a great teacher if you just listen to him. I found that the students that tend to have problems with him don't want to listen and think they know everything already, or are just plain ol' bad students. I learned alot from David and hope to have him next semester.

David is, by far, the best teacher I had in my entire semester. He's a hard-ass, but his honesty just makes your work that much better. He's pompous at times but with his experience, he's allowed to be. He's a great teacher and really fun to listen to.

David is an awesome teacher. Very professional and a bit intimidating but if you're anything like me, that makes you work harder. I respect the hard work he's spent to get to where he is today. Can be very funny at time, you just have to deal with his cocky attitude (get over it) Loved his class! JUST BE ON TIME

I was in his Graphic Arts & Prepress program 6 years ago. At first, like many of you I thought he was an arrogant prick. Suffice it to say that by the end of that program and still to this day I feel he's exactly what you need to prepare yourself for life as a designer. If you can't take being critiqued good luck when you're in the real world!

VERY sarcastic, likes to hold grudges, Needs to figure out how to word handouts so normal people can understand them.. Quark command quiz? come on.. It's dying off now, we're not in the dinosaur age! David is so dreamy. He is a fantastic teacher, and he did NOT fall off the TURNIP TRUCK! Hes always blushing and joking around hes awesome and i LOOOOVE his accent and his perkiness. He looks incredible for his age. I look forward to his class and will miss him when i graduate!

Took his class many years ago! Surprise, he still around at Humber. Mr Barkworth has BAD attitude toward students and like to put them down. Moreover, he doesn't have the ability to pass on his knowledges to students, well maybe he did just only to his faves. So, learn to kiss his **s and you will be fine.

David is the most cruel, abrasive, egotistical, drill-sergeant of a teacher, and I respect no professor more. You will hate Barkworth, but you will learn Photoshop, Illustrator and by GOD some damn Quark like you coded them yourself. Barkworth is by far one of the best teachers I've had. He goes into great detail and his expectations are clear. If you follow along and take notes, he'll show you how to get to Montreal without going 'round Vancouver.

Wouldn't want to learn this stuff from anybody else. Probably the best at what he does. Maybe takes some things too personally. Singles people out who aren't paying attention, where other professors would simply ignore it. This eats away at class time, and I imagine is where much of the criticism comes from. Other than that, great.
