Comment:

Benedict is the best professor Houghton has in either history or politics. Those of you complaining about his courses being boring need to read and think more often; lectures are not supposed to entertain you they are supposed to inform and engage you. Benedict did both for me; also his methodological style of analysis impacted my further work.

Benedict is hillarious and if you are looking for a good class where you will stay interested but it is easy to pass Benedicts classes are the ones for you. The test are always one essay and he gives you the essays ahead of time so just pick one and know it well...

Yeah, he's incredibly easy... but don't plan on ever being challenged or really engaging with the material. Boring lectures, boring classes. If you're at Houghton for polisci, stick with Meilaender.
