Prof. Doane is awesome! He literally wrote the book on Stats and is very crystal clear in his expectations. No mid-term, no final. Just two group projects, 4 quizzes online and 4 quizzes in-class. He usually gives days off and one time gave us a 10% bonus on our quiz because "he felt like it". One of OU's finest!

Gives a lot of project and explains how to do them exactly. However, when doing any actual equations type problem he would only use the Greek symbols and I don't learn well that way.Needless to say when it came test time I didn't feel well prepared because of that although you were allowed one cheat sheet.This was my lowest grade from 9th grade on

Prof Doane is a very good teacher. I was expecting this class to be very tough since its 6 credits, but it wasn't too bad. He won't fail you unless your a complete idiot. 2 exams worth 50% of your grade, 3 group projects worth 40%, homework 10%. Exams are hard but he grades on a huge curve so its ok.

Prof Doane is awesome! The material is hard and requires a lot of studying, but between the book and his class lectures it makes the material easy to comprehend. Grade is made up of two exams (hard but curved) and three group projects. Excel is used a lot! I definitely recommend this class!!

Great teacher, funny and insightful. Knows what he's talking about. Presents rather difficult material in a clear and simple manner. Tests are hard, study the theories behind the material, not so much all the equations. He wants to know why something happened and what it means. He really goes out on a limb to teach something he's passionate about.

Great class. Professor Doane really knows how to teach. Don't be scared off by the mini projects or main projects; fairly easy if you come to class as he gives you step by step instructions on how to do them. Allowed cheat sheet for exams. Exams are curved.

Professor Doane is the best stats professor at OU. He wrote the textbook, so he knows how to explain things really well and clear. His tests are really hard, but the projects in the class are worth more toward your grade, so make sure you do those and you'll be fine

Doane knows his stuff. Class can be dry at times by loaded with information. Homework load is manageable. Class CANNOT be learned in one night. Make sure you keep up with lecture material. The two tests are hard, heavily weighted and heavily curved. Professor is very helpful. If your willing to work and keep up with material you will be fine.

Great professor. He takes an interest in his students by learning their names and when you go and ask him a question he remembers your situation. He is very knowledgeable and he is effective in presenting the material. You should read the book and be on time for class if you want a good grade as he sometimes gives pop quizzes. Good professor!

Tests are very hard and long. Professor is very clear, and you think you understand eveything in class, but it just does not add up in the exams. Good thing he curves. This professor is worth your while if you want to learn in class, he is simply a great teacher, just don't expect an easy 3.5 Don't miss class, take notes like crazy.

Great for people that took Sase for 240 and didn't learn anything. He covers material fast, so make sure to attend ALL classes and take notes. Exams (there are 3) are pretty difficult, but you can use a page of notes and they are curved. There are 4 group projects, but no final exam. Very smart, and helpful after class and in the lab.

If you took Sase for 240 and are scared to death to take anybody else because you didn't learn anything, take Professor Doane. He explains the subject VERY well. There are 3 assignment that can be done in groups, a midterm and a final with a cheat sheet allowed, and 2 group projects. I recommend Doane to anybody, he's great.
