Dr. Green is a great choice to take for CHEM120. He is usually straightforward in lecture and his tests are hard, but definitely not impossible. Study your notes, read the book, and go into his office hours and youll be fine. His door is often closed, but once you knock he is welcoming and willing to answer your questions. Also very funny!

This class was absolutely ridiculous. I usually do well with chemistry, but not with Dr. Green. He gives an overtop amount of homework about things he does not teach. What is on his tests is always a depressing surprise. He does not give the impression that he would like to extend help to students. Odd and unapproachable. Overall very arrogant.

My favorite of all the (unanimously great) chemistry faculty at Pepperdine University. Any negative review is likely from a gen-chem kid who would do poorly regardless of who they had. So, if you aren't great at chemistry, don't take his course, but if you're genuinely interested & want to learn far beyond the curriculum Dr. Green is the way to go.

Really loves teaching and chemistry. He loves hard workers but has a low tolerance for dumb students. Upper div courses are great with him. Labs are long but SUPER FUN. I wish I got to do research with him :/

This dude will talk about random stuff each lecture but don't you dare skip as he will randomly give a pop quiz. Most classic Doctor Green story I can offer is this: The day before Thanksgiving break, half the class left early and was gone, so he gives us a pop quiz and makes it worth double points. Learn to learn exclusively from the textbook.

If you are looking for a professor who is a great lecturer and wants you to succeed look again. He hands out packets that aren't even used in class, and gets through maybe two problems a class period. He then assigns homework over stuff that hasn't been covered in class yet. He tries to crack too many jokes instead of just teaching the class.

Genuinely the greatest professor I ever had at Pepperdine. The great majority of the classes I took were dull and boring but David Green managed to engage his students like no other professor ever has. You sure need to understand his sense of humor but once you do, there is no better teacher for you to take.

Dr. Green makes you feel like a complete moron most of the time. Does not care much if you pass so it is 100% up to you and the amount of effort you put in and if you are naturally good at chemistry.

He was really unhelpful when anyone had questions even during office hours. His lectures were really unrelated to the exams and the exams were really difficult. Avoid taking him if you can.

Dr. Green is genuinely interested in what he teaches. The course itself is moderately difficult, but if you have ANY questions, GO TO OFFICE HOURS. I cannot stress this enough. He is extremely helpful. He will go over the concept step-by-step, one-on-one.

I absolutely loved having Dr. Green. He gives out notes in class that are incredibly useful. He als provides almost every equation that you will need on his tests. He gives a lot of partial credit and though saracastic, he is a very entertaining professor. He knows his students and their skills and he is very available when you need help.

Dr. Green is a great teacher that really cares about his students. Took the time to make sure you understand and connected with his students on a personal level. The tests were a little tough but appropriate for a month long summer class. Weighting is appropriate for the class. If you get a D in this class you are flat out stupid or didn't try.

Did not care for him at all, His test were fair, however his grading was WAY too subjective for me. You will somehow magically make it to his good side or bad and its a total coin toss to decide your place(unless of course you're a girl). Very discouraging and would NOT recommend. Take Gchem somewhere else!!!

Dr Green teaches in a fast paced manner but is easy to follow if you pay attention. I found that his lectures are more helpful than his demonstrations although they can help from time to time. There is frequent homework but if done it helps with comprehension and padding your grade. Study book for tests. Hes funny in a quirky way!

I love Dr. Green! He is funny and makes chem exciting. Be sure to read the book and do the hw and you will do well. He is so helpful outside of class and answers email questions promptly. Be sure to do the handouts before the tests because they are just like the tests. Be sure to study HARD for test #2!

I've heard his tests are a little easier than other professors, but it evens out bc his lectures are all over the place, disorganized, and hard to follow. Just take good notes, read the book, and ask him for help (he's good at getting back to you). It helps out a lot if you've taken chem prior to this class.
