He is an awesome man and individual overall, however the course itself is demanding. When he lectures that day, do the work for the lecture. Do all the handout problems and problem sets. When it comes to studying start way further in advance then what you think you would normally have to.

The class is difficult but he gives you all the tools to succeed, if you're willing to put in the work. He's great at explaining concepts and answering questions clearly. A funny and sweet professor. Really wants to see everyone do well. Read through the lectures ahead of time; it makes a world of difference.

Honestly he's a great intelligent man but his tests are so incredibly hard its unfortunate to see all the effort and hours spent on studying wasted. However, he has a generous curve. But study months in advance for tests if you at least want a C/pass in the class. Over half the class dropped because of the exams and the only grade in class is exams

Class lectures are recorded but if you don't go it's way harder to work up the motivation/actually learn the material. Your grade is based off of four tests ONLY but his curve helps A LOT (even though it's weird and I don't fully understand it). Overall, he's super sweet and has a great sense of humor. He's a wonderful human being and a great prof.

Not a hard class if you study and do the practice problems. His exams are extremely fair and exactly what he tells you they will be... it's organic chemistry, so if you're expecting to not put in any work to get a good grade, you'll be disappointed

Hardest class I've had at Pepperdine. Used packets, textbook would have been better. Very busy with research so you don't always get help when you need it. Very abstract and flies through material, expects you to completely understand nearly 600 pages of packet info by the end of the semester. My suggestion is to take it elsewhere.

Dr. White is without a doubt one of the best professors I've ever had. He's attentive to his student's needs, is available outside of class, and is very clear about what is expected of us. He does whatever he can to ensure we will be prepared for exams and clearly wants us to do well.

HARDEST class Ive taken, but you learn a lot. Handouts are okay?!?!,as they sometimes are VERY confusing to follow unless you're chemically intuitive. Pretty much always available for office hours and willing to try to help whether he actually does or not. Super nice guy, pretty funny, and laid back if you get to know him.

Such a cool prof. Lectures are kick-back and go off of outlines provided online, so print off copies and fill them in as he lectures. Helpful out of class and always gives review sessions before exams. One of the best professors I've had at Pepperdine.

Boring class as would be expected, but not hard, study before the tests and you'll do fine. He's a nice guy and kind of curves the test in a way thats unknown to me.

very clear, down-to-earth professor. handouts are awesome, review sessions even better. tests can be hard, but easy to pass if you study hard in advance and really know what you're doing. he's friendy, funny, and is really cool. make sure you understand everything though before you go on.

Very difficult class, but if you study hard it will pay off. He's extremely smart and very helpful. His notes are amazing, you don't really need the book expect for extra problems. Ask him about his "Winnie the Pooh" voices and his favorite functional group.
