I have NEVER had a worse teacher than Owen. If anyway possible, do NOT take this guy. 1) he teaches with his eyes closed the entire time. 2) he uses those old transparencies to write his notes on. 3) i dont think he even knows what blackboard is. 4) he shows no interest in making the extra effort to make sure his students know the material.

this is the worst professor to ever walk the planet. This dude needs to retire. He can not teach worth crap. He goes at a rate no student can keep up with and if you try to ask a question he doesn't tell you the answer he just makes you feel like you know nothing. The meanest teacher.

Dr. Owen is an extremely hard professor. He teaches on a level at which most students can't understand, even those who have taken a course since graduating high school in chemistry. Avoid him if you can, but if not then DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!

Is a researcher not a teacher. Does not know how to explain things a none graduate level. His tests are the hardest tests I have ever taken but he does curve a lot. Do not take hime if at all possible.

Dr. Owen is a difficult professor and he will make you feel stupid sometimes. But he can be nice and he is willing to help anyone who comes asking for it. HE curves ALOT and give extra credit. His tests are really difficult

This guy is hard.. PERIOD. Teaching is his life, so he tries to cram as much in your head as he can in a semester. It won't be easy, but you'll be ready for the next 2 sequential classes after you have one of his. Everyone should take a professor like this once - it makes the rest of college seem like a breeze.

Dr. Owen is the smartest man that I've ever known. This class is the most challenging class I've ever taken but if you're willing to put in the effort you will learn so much. If you want an easy A you may want to find a different professor. You really have to understand the material to do well on tests but his curves are massive.

Dr. Owen is the absolute WORST prof. I have ever had. AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS! I was an A student, and nearly failed. His lectures are IMPOSSIBLE to follow and he uses technical jargon that he expects everyone to know. His tests and quizes are nearly impossible to pass. He does curve tests usually about 20 points, just so everyone will pass.

Dr. Owen is quite dedicated to his job. However his tests do require one to know the material extremely well. The only main flaw I had with him is that he taught somewhat differently then our book. He also was more friendly to the "Clever" student. Or so he always repeated.

I love Dr. Owen. He knows his chemistry, and can put it into practical use. If you are looking for an easy way to barely study or work, this isn't the class for you. BUT, if you are seriously about a pre-professional track, you will learn more in this challenging class than many others.

VERY HARD class. His test have questions that don't seem to relate to the material, but he gives huge curves on most tests and quizzes. Teaches mass amount of material, fast paced, and the most unfreindly/unhelpful person ever. Good Lab grade is a plus to your overall grade. He pays attention to who comes to class and it helps your grade in the end

puts huge curve on the test b/c no one would pass otherwise. My class started out with 40 students. when I withdrew, there were 6 left (and some of them failing)! teaches like you already know the subject. He does teach with his eyes closed (heard he has some eye damage)so you can't raise hand to ask questions and rude when bothered outside of clas

i hate Dr. Owen. He knows his material, but it is very difficult to keep up when he talks so fast. He trips over himself all the time, i guess that was the best part of class. He is very impersonable. He has a few favorites in class and only acknoweldges them.
