Dr. Rusak is the best teacher that I have ever had! I didn't like chemistry in high school, but after taking his class, I really enjoy it. He explains things in a clear and concise way and gives real-world examples. He also gives a lot of practice problems that really help when it comes to taking his tests. I highly recommend taking him if you can!

FIRST TEST IS VERY LONG! HARD TO FINISH IN TIME. ONLY 3 TESTS and quizzes. So Make sure you prepare. Made several typos in Tests, which limits students ability to finish. Does not upload the answers to practice problems.

I hated chemistry before attending the U. If you want to learn and get a good grade, then take him. He doesnt use ppts and writes everything you need to know clearly on the board. Other teachers use long ppts and teach more than you need to know. Rusak focuses on the basics and you will still learn a lot. 3 tests are easy, they are the HW problems

Dr Rusak is the by far the best professor at Scranton. If you have the opportunity to take his class, I recommend him. Rusak is super chill and approachable. His lectures are great, and he made Chemistry really enjoyable.

Dr. Rusak is the man! He has definitely been one of my favorite teachers in college. He is very clear in his lectures and goes over practice problems in class. If you do all the homework and practice problems on his handouts you will do well on the exams. They are very fair and he is lenient as far as grading goes. If you have the chance, take him!

Rusak is an amazing professor. he does not take attendance but its chem you have to go. His lectures are very clear and made all the topics easy to understand. He assigns homework and does not check it, but i HIGHLY recommend doing the homework and work sheets. You just may see them again. hint hint. TAKE HIM

Rusak is an awesome man! Definitely one of the best Chemistry 112 professors at the U. Always there to help and gives very clear and interesting lectures. Always goes over the key concepts before the tests too. Tests aren't bad either, they're usually multiple choice and then HW problems. Take him! You won't regret it! He makes Chemistry SIMPLE.

Coming from someone who hates chemistry, I actually really enjoyed Rusak's class. Main advice:DO THE HOMEWORK! It will help you for the tests. His lectures are very clear, he goes slow and makes sure everyone understands. He knows that not everyone is a chem mayor, so he teaches very well. Even if you didn't take chem in high school you'll do well.

Comment:

Instrumental lab with Rusak was a good time. The work seemed a little repetitive sometimes and you have a decent amount of experiments to do (15) but he is very helpful and a good grade is easily attainable as long as you do the work properly and hand everything in on time. He gives about 3-4 quizzes, which are OK as long as you study.

Rusak is super helpful. I didn't have a strong chem 112 background (i had a different prof) so bombed the first test. After that I started living in his office hours. He's very understanding, but you have to approach him. He won't come to you. If he sees you are trying, he will reward you for your effort at the end of the semester. Best Chem prof!!

Rusak is an excellent teacher. He is very personable and wants you to succeed. I had to put in work to get an A, but he makes it very possible! Clear-cut teaching, explains concepts very well for those who struggle with chemistry and math. Definitely best general chem teacher at the U.

One of the best chemistry professors at Scranton. Makes the information easy to understand and is always available for extra help. Very nice and cares about each student. I highly recommend taking him for general chemistry if you can squeeze into one of his classes. They fill up quick so push to get him.

Dr. Rusak is the best Gen. Chem professor at the U. I struggled with chemistry in high school but Dr. Rusak makes everything very clear. His exams are extremely fair as he takes problems straight from the homework he assigns. Do the homework and this class will be a breeze. He is also very approachable if you need more explanations. Love him!

TAKE HIM! Dr. Rusak is a great professor and both his tests and quizzes are extremely fair. He takes most of his test questions right from the homework he assigns and gives you plenty of opportunities to practice problems and ask questions. He's one of the best professors I've had so far.

Seriously the best teacher ever! Ialways looked forward to his class bc he was so easy to understand. I took chem in high school so a lot of the topics were the same, but the way he taught made the tests seem like a breeze. He does give quizzes bet they are fair.

His class was awesome but adjusting to orgo was really hard for me because this class was so easy.. i just wasn't prepared for the challenge. if you want an A, take him. if you wanna be prepared for orgo I recommend marx, foley, or baumann. all my friends who had them are breezing through it even tho they are harder.
