Really easy class for getting your math credit out of the way with a professor who knows how to have fun and knows that you don't really care about math. Homework assignments are few with lots of time to do them and the tests are moderately difficult, with the occasional curve. Also, he'll give test points back if you get things right on the final.

He is hilarious in class and keeps you engaged, but the homework is a total disconnect from what he talks about in class and the tests. He teaches concepts but homework is math, takes me a couple hours usually to do homework and I'm in the honors program. But if you study hard for tests you can ace those if you know the concepts.

Took him for Stats. He is very funny and keeps you interested. He thinks that math is for computers so most of the tests are just concepts. Haven't used a single calculator all year. So if you really hate math take him!! If you pay attention and study for tests you'll do fine. Tests are kinda hard. But hey no math just concepts!! Curves are used

He's pretty funny and lets class out early sometimes. He gives a quiz over the previous class's lecture every day, instead of taking attendance, and that affects your grade some. However, I missed quite a few days and still passed but was a little lost at times on the material.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Didn't understand anything he was trying to say. I could probably understand Spanish better. The only reason I passed was because of my attendance. Worst class I have every taken.

Vlieger is a pretty good teacher he has an odd since of humor that could be taken offensive but he doesn't say things personally. He is the true def. of a college prof. because he doesn't hold your hand throughout the class but expects you to act like an adult. His mission is to make you aware of your BS O-Meter not fail you.

He was a very difficult professor to understand. I was in the honors section and he seemed to hate answering questions, which made it difficult to learn especially since his lectures were confusing and all over the place. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

Nice guy, but the class is extremely hard. Be prepared to work hard for a decent grade. Tests are very long and lectures can be hard to follow. There is very little homework other than reading.

HORRIBLE.... just HORRIBLE. Will make you feel stupid when you go to his office to ask for help. Can be funny in class, but mostly makes himself look ridiculous. Tests are really hard and rake forever. Studying for them almost doesn't work at all. Take someone else for sure.

I took the Stats class online and it was pretty hard which is what I expected. For not having lectures, you WILL come out learning a TON, however.Vlieger always responds quickly and efficiently to questions. If you're taking Stats online Read the book, take the test, and e-mail him any questions on those you missed and you will most likely do well.

Dr. Vlieger is a great teacher! He's extremely helpful and flexible. Not much homework. Make sure you print off powerpoints to follow along. He takes attendance but if you have to be gone just make sure you email him and you won't get points taken away. Read the book material and attend class and you will be fine!

I think he would pay the university to be able to teach this class. Loves the material and loves teaching it. The class is easy and the majority of the grade is on the final project and that alone. But sometimes he will assume he knows what question you are about to ask and tries to answer it, even if you aren't done with your question.

Class is extremely useful, definately pay attention, read the book, and study for the tests. I like the fact that he uses concepts than math, because honestly... we have calculators to do math. Calcs cant tell you what it means. Useful for Marketing Reasearch class... wish i kept the notes! Awesome class!!!

I'm not a math person, and I had his online class, so you can only imagine my stress. He was really good though, extremely helpful. Any time I emailed him a question (which was extremely often) he answered it extremely quick. He's a really nice guy, and a really great teacher!
