His class is so interesting, though his essays are quite difficult and his quizzes a major disaster :). He teaches at my school (Ave Maria University) in the Spring semesters, but he is still at McGill in the fall. I would definitely recommend him esp to English or Lit majors!

It gets worse and worse. The word is that we've lost Williams AND John-Christian :(..... I know those two were inseperable, did they leave together? Best. Teaching. Combo. Ever. It was like having C. S. Lewis as a prof and J.R.R Tolkien as the TA. Incredible. Does anyone know where they went? Wherever it is, I want to transfer there.

David Williams is a great prof. He really knows his stuff and has interesting lectures. A bit wordy at times and digresses, but nothing wrong with that. It began as just a fifth class I reluctantly decided to take and ended as my favorite class. Interesting material, challenging essays.

The best professor I've ever had: incredibly engaging, thorough, and capable, he knows everything there is to know about his subject, yet convinces you (and himself) that there's so much left to strive for. A truly selfless teacher too: rewards independent thought, and removes himself from his material (save for the original wry grin). Just perfect

Professor Williams is the most wonderful teacher McGill ever had.I took 4 semesters with him. His classes were Heaven on Earth. If I could return to McGill, I would sit in as many of his classes as I could. My recomandation to other students is: please enroll any in his class or classes.
