He is flexible and hard working. He will ALWAYS go the extra mile to help his students out, but I have to agree that he is scatterbrained. Only communicate to him via email, never in person. If you don't work you will still get a decen mark, but you will know he knows you can do better.

One of those really helpful people who knows his stuff pretty good and if he doesn't he'll try and figure it out for you. Always an open ear, but you better keep up your end of the deal - so work (hard) and you'll get a lot out of it.
