She is passionate about Commercial Recreation, but she kept putting off our projects so we ended up doing almost all of them the last month of class. I learned a lot and I liked them, but she should have followed her syllabus because we were all really stressed out. Read the book on your own, go to class, you'll get a good grade.

Nice lady, passionate and knows her stuff. However, she is unorganized and all over the place. Her exams are on the book but she doesn't lecture on the book so you are on your own. She dumped 4 projects on us the last month of the semester including one due at the final. So when I should have been studying for the final, I was finishing my project.

I find that in spite of my interest in this course, I don't want to attend any of the lectures. I'm not going to say that Patty Janes doesn't know what she's talking about, because she does. Rather, she's obnoxiously enthusiastic to the point where it's irritating to listen to her.

Patty is a Nice Lady but for this class I got screwed because no one in my group knew what was going on. Including me. We went to her a couple of times for help but it never got us anywhere. I love Patty but i struggled real hard in this class just to finish our final presentation.

I wish this wasn't a required class, or there was another professor to teach it. Patty is super nice, but WAY too scatter-brained. No one in the class ever knew what was going on. We were ALWAYS confused about assignments. And, she never stops talking. Ugh. I hated sitting through her class bc she talked too much & I never knew what to focus on

Patty is a great person and an excellent professor. Sometimes she can get scattered brained and what not but that is just her personality. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask her because she wants to help. Study for the exams because you don't go over much for them. Work hard on the mkt plan, its a HUGE grade.

This is a useless class! She attended at least 5 classes for the whole semester. The IT guys were left to teach and it wasn't the greatest experience. I was offended several times because of my gender and disability. Deadlines are unreasonable, points are not accurately valued on projects. I paid 3 credits to learn the mac world- WASTE OF $$$

She is extremely nice and extremely helpful. She is not that best at structuring a class or lecture. I had to teach most of the information to myself. She takes just about the whole semester to grade the projects and does so very strictly. However, she is very helpful as I stated and if you use her helpfulness you will get an A.

I don't know how people are giving her good comments. She comes off as SUPER nice, however, she's probably the hardest grader I've ever had. When it comes time for mid term/final exam she tells you to look online for the study guide and ADMITS that it's nothing she's taught you in class. she's SOOOO unorganized. loses everything. don't take her.

Overall just okay. She is a great person, funny and ALWAYS willing to help. She can be very unclear about exzactly what she expects but she will clarify if you ask her to. My opinion is that I shouldn't have to ask her to clarify all the time though. Grades somewhat tough but is very fair. She loves her job and you can tell by the passion she has.
